# Best robot pets and companions (2026)

16 robot pets and companions ranked by independent reviews and value. Prices checked Oct 27, 2026. HTML version: https://robotsforthat.com/for/companion/

Robot pets and companions are home robots built to keep you company rather than do chores: pet style robots you can cuddle, desk buddies with animated faces, walking robot dogs, driving pet cameras, and companions made for kids or older adults. Most of them lean on a cloud AI and some need a paid plan, so check the subscription and camera details on each page. Prices below come from US maker stores and Amazon, checked daily.

## Why our top pick wins

The Eilik ranks above the Miko 3 because it scored higher in a published review (Goally gave Eilik 4/5, while Miko 3 averaged 4/5 from TTPM and 3 from Serious Insights) and costs $160 less. They suit different people. Eilik is a desk toy that reacts to touch with no voice control. Miko 3 talks, teaches and video calls, with parent controls, but most of its content needs the $99 a year Miko Max plan.

## How we ranked them

Few reviewers give companion robots a numeric score, so only four robots here have one: Eilik, Miko 3, Unitree Go2 and ElliQ. Their review average counts for 70% of the score and value counts for 30%, so cheaper robots gain points. The other nine are listed after them, not ranked, until a reviewer publishes a score. Read each robot's page for what reviewers found.
