# Husqvarna vs Navimow: dealer support or lower price

Husqvarna vs Navimow is a choice between an established brand with a dealer network and a 4 year warranty, and a newer brand that costs far less and needs no base station in most areas. For the same half acre, the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ costs $2,599.99 and the Navimow H220 $2,199.

## Short answer

Pick Husqvarna if local dealer service and the longest warranty matter most: the Automower 410 iQ has a 4 year warranty in the US and Canada and is backed by authorized Automower dealers. Pick Navimow if you want more mower for the money and a simpler setup: network RTK needs no base station where coverage exists, the i210 AWD costs $1,049 and the X430 covers a full acre for $2,499. Navimow's X430 also has strong independent reviews, while no hands on review of the 410 iQ was found.

## Dealer network and where to buy

Husqvarna's biggest advantage is its dealers. Its Automower dealer locator lists authorized dealers across the US, which Husqvarna describes as the main route for service, repairs, warranty help and original parts. Husqvarna also sells online and offers professional installation for the 410 iQ. For its entry level wired Automower 115H, Husqvarna bundles dealer installation into the $1,599 price and the nearest dealer calls to book the visit.

Navimow sells through its own website and big box stores. PCWorld listed the X430 at Lowe's, The Home Depot, Walmart and Navimow's store. Warranty claims go through Navimow or the authorized dealer you bought from. If you want a local shop to set up and fix your mower, Husqvarna is the easier path. If you are happy doing a phone app setup yourself, Navimow is built for that.

## EPOS vs network RTK

Both brands use RTK, a satellite correction method that gives positioning to within centimeters. They differ in where the correction comes from.

Husqvarna's EPOS ships with an RS1 reference station. It needs a clear view of the sky and a power outlet, and if you move it after mapping, you have to re-create your map. In select areas, Husqvarna Cloud replaces the station by sending correction data over the internet, but the mower then needs a steady Wi-Fi or 4G connection across the lawn. Husqvarna says cloud coverage is not the same as cell coverage and lets you check by address. In heavily shaded spots you can add some boundary wire.

Navimow's i2 AWD and X4 use network RTK by default. Navimow says network RTK access is included at no extra cost and the cell data it needs is free. You check coverage by postcode, and a GNSS antenna comes in the box if you are outside it. PCWorld found network RTK turned on by itself at no cost, and Bob Vila never needed the X430's antenna.

## Slopes and cutting

The 410 iQ is rated for 45% slopes inside the lawn but only 15% at the boundary, so a lawn that ends on a bank is a poor fit. The i210 AWD matches its 45% rating, and the X430 is rated for 84%.

The 410 iQ's 9.4 inch cut with three pivoting razor blades is wider than the i210's 7.1 inches but far narrower than the X430's 17 inch deck. Husqvarna's cut height adjusts electrically in the app from 1 to 4 inches. The 410 iQ detects obstacles with radar, while the Navimows use cameras.

## Warranty and running costs

Husqvarna gives the 410 iQ a 4 year warranty in the US and Canada. Tractor Supply's listing adds that the battery is covered for 3 years and that the first year of blades is included. Navimow covers the i206, i210, X430 and X450 for 3 years and their batteries for 2 years. It treats blades as consumables.

Blades are the main recurring cost. Our profiles estimate about $130 in Husqvarna blades over 3 years, after the free first year. The i210 needs about $120 in blades and the X430, which uses 12 blades on two discs, about $288. Navimow's optional Access+ 4G service is free for a year, then $32.90 a year. We found no subscription fee for Husqvarna EPOS or Husqvarna Cloud on Husqvarna's pages; the Automower Connect app is free.

## What reviewers found

The Navimow X430 was Bob Vila's Best Overall among seven wire free mowers and won PCWorld's Editors' Choice. PCWorld saw it stay inside its boundaries and climb slopes without slipping on a 7,600 sq ft lawn.

We found no independent hands on review of the Automower 410 iQ. On Tractor Supply, shoppers rated it 4.1 out of 5 from 75 reviews when we checked, with nine one star ratings. No independent review of the i210 AWD was found either.

## Who should pick which

- Your lawn ends in a steep bank: skip the 410 iQ, which allows only 15% at the boundary.

- You want the longest warranty: Husqvarna, at 4 years against Navimow's 3.
