# Wybot pool robot error codes and indicator lights

Wybot does not publish numbered error codes for its cordless pool robots. Faults show as LED colors on the robot: solid red for a stuck impeller, flashing red for motor protection when the robot is out of water or the water is too shallow, and flashing yellow for a battery that needs charging.

## Short answer

As of October 27, 2026, Wybot's user manuals list no number error codes. The robot's LED is the code. Solid red means the impeller is stuck: power off and remove whatever is in it. Flashing red means motor protection, because the robot was not in the water or the water was too shallow: restart it and put it straight into water deeper than 0.5 m. Flashing yellow means charge now. A charger light that flashes without charging means poor contact: unplug and plug the charger back in. Climbing, sinking or partial cleaning problems are usually a blocked filter basket.

| Light or sign | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Solid red | Fault: impeller stuck | Power off, check the impeller and remove foreign objects |
| Flashing red | Motor protection: not in water or water too shallow | Restart and put it in the pool right away; water must be over 0.5 m (19.5 in) deep |
| Flashing yellow | Battery low, charge now | Fully charge, then restart |
| Solid green at power on, then solid blue | Showing battery level, then on | Nothing |
| Flashing blue after about 20 seconds | Self calibration done, ready to clean | Put it in the pool |
| Green LEDs lighting one by one | Charging | Wait; full charge takes about 3 hours |
| All LEDs solid | Fully charged | Unplug and use |
| Charger light flashing, not charging | Poor contact | Unplug and replug the charger; make sure the port is dry |
| Charger adaptor blue light | Adaptor has power | Nothing |
| App: Unable to connect to the App | Robot in the pool, off, or old firmware | Connect on the pool deck, restart, update firmware |
| Climbs badly, sinks, floats off walls, cleans only part | Filter basket blocked | Empty and rinse the filter basket and filter |
| Stuck on a drain | Obstacle or drain over 3 cm high | Move it off the obstacle |

## Why Wybot has lights instead of codes

Wybot's manuals for its cordless robots do not give faults a number. Instead the LED on the robot changes color and pattern. Red means a fault, yellow means battery, blue means on or working, and green shows battery level and charging. The Wybot app adds a few messages, mostly about connecting.

The two manuals we used are the S2 (model WY210C) and the C2 Pro and C2 Pro Vision. They describe the same light scheme, so it is very likely to match the C2 Vision and S2 Solar Vision as well. Still, check the manual that came with your robot, since Wybot updates its models often.

## Red light: stuck impeller or motor protection

A red light is the closest thing Wybot has to an error code. The S2 manual separates two cases. Solid red means the impeller is stuck. Turn the robot off, check the impeller and remove any foreign object jammed in it.

Flashing red means motor protection. The robot shut its motors down because it was running out of the water or in water that is too shallow. Turn it off and on, then put it straight into the pool. Wybot says the water must be more than 0.5 m (19.5 in) deep over the robot. Do not let a cordless robot run on the deck or on a shallow step.

## Yellow light, charging and app problems

A flashing yellow light means the battery is low and needs charging now. It also shows when the robot parks itself in the pool at low battery. Take it out, power it off, dry the charging port and charge it. Wybot's manuals give about 3 hours for a full charge, at temperatures between 0 and 35 °C (32 and 95 °F). Charge at least 3 m (about 10 ft) from the pool edge, out of direct sun, and never with an extension cord.

If the charger light flashes and the robot will not charge, Wybot says it is a poor contact. Unplug and replug the charger, and make sure the robot is off and the port is dry. If the app cannot connect, take the robot out of the pool, since it connects on the deck, then restart it and update the firmware.

## Cleaning problems with no light

Many problems never trigger a red light. Wybot's troubleshooting tables blame a blocked filter basket for most of them: slow or failed wall climbing, sinking or floating away from the wall, cleaning only part of the pool, not following the set path, and cloudy water after a run. Empty the basket and rinse it and the fine filter with clean water after every use.

If the robot is stuck on a main drain, Wybot notes drains taller than 3 cm can trap it. Lift it off. If it picks the wrong mode, reconnect to the app and choose the mode again. The C2 Pro Vision manual adds that the ultra fine filter is meant for turbo floor mode only and should not be used on a very dirty floor, and that the camera on Vision models needs its protective film removed and should be kept free of dust and scratches.

## When a repeat error means a worn part

If solid red keeps coming back with nothing in the impeller, the impeller or pump motor may be damaged. If the robot keeps losing grip on walls with a clean filter, look at the brushes and tracks. The S2 manual lists the filter basket, brushes and wheels as consumables, and says not to run the robot with broken brushes or a broken top cover. Wybot's manuals also mention intake air or slippery surfaces as a climbing cause and list adhesive blocks as the remedy, with after sales giving the instructions.

A battery that will not hold a charge, or a robot that will not start after a long time at low charge, points at the battery. Wybot says not to take the robot apart in that case and to contact after sales. Store it fully charged, power it off and charge it every three months during the off season to slow battery wear.

## When to contact Wybot support or use the warranty

Contact Wybot if a red light returns after you clear the impeller and confirm the water depth, if the robot will not charge after you replug the charger, or if it will not start after charging. Wybot support is at support@wybotpool.com or 1 866 777 6655. Have your order number ready, since Wybot asks for it on every claim.

The S2 manual covers the battery, motor and circuit board for 2 years from purchase, and our data lists 2 years for the C2 Vision. The warranty applies only to the original buyer and excludes misuse, unauthorized repair and opening the robot. Filter baskets, brushes and wheels are consumables and are not covered.

## Questions people ask

### Does Wybot have error codes?

Wybot's user manuals list no number error codes. Faults show as LED colors on the robot, mainly solid or flashing red, plus a few app messages.

### Why is my Wybot flashing red?

Flashing red is motor protection. The robot was out of the water or the water was too shallow. Restart it and put it straight into water deeper than 0.5 m.

### What does a solid red light on a Wybot mean?

In the S2 manual, solid red means the impeller is stuck. Power off and remove whatever is jammed in it.

### Why is my Wybot light yellow?

Flashing yellow means the battery is low and needs charging now. A full charge takes about 3 hours.

### Why won't my Wybot charge?

If the charger light flashes, Wybot says it is a poor contact. Unplug and replug the charger, and make sure the robot is off and the charging port is dry.

### How long is the Wybot warranty?

The S2 manual covers the battery, motor and circuit board for 2 years for the original buyer. Filter baskets, brushes and wheels are consumables.
