# Figure unveils Figure 03, a humanoid redesigned for homes, with no price or ship date

Soft fabric skin, palm cameras and wireless charging point Figure's third robot at the living room. Its home autonomy is a company claim no one has checked.

## What it means for you

You cannot buy Figure 03. There is no price, no preorder and no home delivery date, and the CEO has said it is not ready for homes yet. If you want a home humanoid on a real timeline, compare it with robots that have an order page, and treat Figure's chore videos as previews, not proof.

Figure AI unveiled Figure 03, its third humanoid, on October 9, 2025. Unlike earlier Figure robots, which were aimed at factories, this one was redesigned with homes in mind.

The design changes are confirmed in launch coverage. Designboom reports a soft textile covering over layered foam to reduce pinching and bumps, with optional clothing made from cut resistant materials planned. The robot charges wirelessly through coils in its feet when it steps onto a charging pad, so there is no plug to find. TechRadar, via Yahoo Tech, reported about 9% less mass than Figure 02 and a rating of five hours of work per charge. Designboom adds that the battery gained new safety protections, though Figure gave no capacity figure.

The hands got the biggest upgrade. Each palm has its own wide angle camera, useful when the head cameras cannot see what the hand is holding, and each fingertip has a new tactile sensor meant to feel pressure and catch slipping objects. All of this feeds Helix, Figure's AI system that turns camera input and spoken instructions into movement.

Figure showed the robot doing home chores such as loading a dishwasher, folding laundry, clearing tables and watering plants, and eWeek reported that Helix learned towel folding from about 80 hours of video. Figure presents these demos as autonomous, run by Helix rather than by a remote operator. That is a company claim. No independent group has audited the demos, and Figure has not said how often the robot fails, how much the scenes were set up, or how many takes the videos needed.

Outside reporting adds caution. eWeek, citing a TIME visit, noted the robot was finished only about a week before the demo and repeatedly dropped laundry it could not pick back up. CEO Brett Adcock told reporters the company is not there yet for homes and hopes to get there in 2026.

Figure has published no price, no preorder page and no consumer delivery date. Launch coverage expected the robot to show up in workplaces before homes. Figure plans to build it at its BotQ factory, which eWeek says starts at about 12,000 robots a year, with a goal of 100,000 over four years. Those are targets, not shipments.

Figure 03 is the most home focused robot from one of the best funded humanoid makers; Figure raised over $1 billion at a $39 billion valuation weeks earlier, per eWeek. Its hardware choices, soft covers, palm cameras and plug free charging, are sensible for a house with people and pets. Until Figure sets a price and lets outside reviewers watch the robot work unscripted in a real home, it remains a showcase rather than a product you can plan around.
