# Aiper Scuba V3 Ultra review

Cordless AI camera robot for floor, walls, waterline and surface

- Our score: 6.4 out of 10
- Price: $2,000 (checked Nov 4, 2026)
- Status: on sale
- Best for: leafy in-ground pools
- Skip if: you want proven, bug free software
- HTML version: https://robotsforthat.com/robot/aiper-scuba-v3-ultra/

## Verdict

The V3 Ultra is Aiper's top cordless robot, and its camera based AI Patrol really does hunt down visible debris. The two hands-on tests split: The Gadgeteer called it the smartest pool robot it has tested, while PCWorld hit app crashes, task failures and weak skimming. Buy it if you want one robot for floor, walls and surface and can live with early software; skip it if you only need floor and wall cleaning, where cheaper robots do nearly as well.

## Pros

- AI Patrol targets visible debris
- Cleans floor, walls, waterline and surface
- Strong floor cleaning in both tests
- Floats for easy retrieval when the battery dies
- Supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi

## Cons

- App crashes and task failures in PCWorld's test
- Skimming picked up under half the test leaves for PCWorld
- About 29 lb to lift
- Shallow ledge cleaning was inconsistent
- Mesh filter is hard to clean

PCWorld listed $1,999.99 at Aiper in June 2026, and The Gadgeteer listed $1,899.99, down from $2,299.99. We could not confirm today's Aiper store price.

### How long does it run per charge?

Aiper rates up to 8 hours of surface skimming. In floor and wall modes, PCWorld measured just under 3.5 hours and The Gadgeteer measured 159 minutes in auto mode.

### Is it worth it over the Scuba S1 Pro?

PCWorld said the S1 Pro cleans nearly as well, without skimming, for about $800 less. The V3 Ultra makes more sense if you get lots of floating leaves.
