# Bambu Lab H2C review

Big enclosed Bambu that swaps hotends to cut multi color waste

- Our score: not scored yet
- Price: $1,859 (checked Nov 4, 2026)
- Status: on sale
- Best for: makers who print a lot of multi color or multi material parts
- Skip if: you mostly print one color or one material

## Verdict

The H2C is Bambu Lab's multi material flagship. Its Vortek rack swaps hotends instead of flushing one nozzle, so Tom's Hardware saw a five color print finish in about half the time of an H2D with far less waste. It costs $400 more than the H2D and is still slower than a true tool changer.

## Pros

- Vortek hotend swaps cut purge waste
- About twice as fast on multi color as other Bambu AMS printers
- Large enclosed build area with 65 C chamber
- 350 C hotends for engineering filaments
- Many cameras and sensors

## Cons

- Expensive, $2,399 MSRP
- Slower than a true tool changer
- Proprietary hotends and parts
- Awkward with TPU (Tom's Hardware)
- Heavy at 32.5 kg

## Specs

- print speed: No max speed listed by Bambu Lab; Tom's Hardware printed a speed Benchy in 16 min 37 s
- multi color: Yes, AMS 2 Pro included; Vortek rack of 6 induction hotends plus a second nozzle. Tom's Hardware found swaps about twice as fast as other Bambu AMS printers
- enclosure: Yes, enclosed with active chamber heating to 65 C and air purification (Bambu Lab)
- auto leveling: Yes, hands free automatic leveling; first self check took about 45 minutes (Tom's Hardware)

- heated bed: Yes, up to 120 C, textured PEI plate (Bambu Lab, Tom's Hardware)
- filament types: PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA and high temp filaments up to 350 C such as PPS (Tom's Hardware); TPU handling was cumbersome

- fcc: Not checked
- company status: Active
- warranty: Not checked

## Questions buyers ask

### What is Vortek on the H2C?

A rack of six induction heated hotends the printer swaps automatically, so each color or material can have its own nozzle and less filament is purged.

### Is the H2C a tool changer?

Not fully. Tom's Hardware found it about twice as fast as Bambu AMS printers on multi color prints, but a Prusa XL tool changer was faster still.

### Can I buy the H2C on Amazon?

No. Bambu Lab sells through its own store and some retailers such as Best Buy, not Amazon.
