## Verdict

The P2S is the new middle of Bambu Lab's range and keeps the P1S formula of fast, enclosed and easy, with a 5 inch touchscreen, a better camera and tool free nozzle swaps. It is a safe pick for a first serious printer that handles PLA through ABS. Skip it if you print nylon or other high temperature filaments often, since the chamber is not actively heated.

## Pros

- Fast CoreXY with auto calibration
- Enclosed, so ABS and ASA print with the door shut
- 5 inch touchscreen and tool free nozzle swaps
- Combo includes the AMS 2 Pro with drying

## Cons

- No active chamber heating
- AMS color changes waste filament
- No official purge waste bin
- Little gain for current P1S owners

## Questions buyers ask

### Should I upgrade from a P1S?

Probably not if your P1S works. Hackster saw no clear print quality gain and recommends the P2S mainly for first time Bambu buyers.

### Can the P2S print ABS?

Yes. Tom's Hardware printed ABS with the door closed. The chamber is enclosed but not actively heated.

### What does the Combo add?

The AMS 2 Pro, a 4 spool feeder with filament drying, for multi color printing. Tom's Hardware listed the Combo at $799 versus $549 for the printer alone at launch.
