## Verdict

A lighter, cheaper Beatbot that cleans the floor, walls, waterline and shallow sun shelves on a 5 hour battery. Digital Trends gave it Editors' Choice, while The Pool Nerd found it slow and its standard filter too coarse for fine debris. Buy it for a mid size pool with a tanning ledge; skip it if pollen and fine dust are your main problem.

## Pros

- Cleans shallow platforms down to 8 in
- Long 5 h runtime confirmed in testing
- Lighter than Beatbot's flagships at 19.6 lb
- Buttons work without Wi-Fi

## Cons

- Slow cleaning in two tests
- Standard 150 micron filter lets fine debris through
- Fine filter basket costs extra
- No app control underwater

## Questions buyers ask

### Does it skim the water surface?

No. Beatbot says it cleans the floor, walls, waterline and shallow platforms, and parks at the surface for pickup. The Sora 70 adds surface cleaning.

### Will it clean my tanning ledge?

Beatbot says it cleans platforms as shallow as 8 in. Digital Trends confirmed it works on sun shelves.

### Do I need the ultra fine filter?

Only for fine dust and pollen. Digital Trends saw fine particles pass the standard 150 micron basket. The optional basket is $59.99 at Beatbot.
