## Verdict

The HALOT-X1 is one of the easiest resin printers to start with: it needs no leveling, and its twist release plate frees prints without scraping. It suits beginners printing miniatures, jewelry or small models who want 16K detail at a mid range price. Skip it if you print in a cold room or want large parts, since it has no heated vat and a 10 inch plate.

## Questions buyers ask

### Is the HALOT-X1 made by Creality or PioCreat?

It launched in 2025 under PioCreat, a Creality spin off. In the US it is now sold as the Creality HALOT-X1 on Creality's store and at Micro Center. It is the same printer.

### Do I need the Combo with the AFU?

No. The AFU adds automatic refill and resin preheating. GamesRadar+ suggests it for the best results, but TechRadar could not get it feeding properly and DIY Machines found it did not fully empty the vat.

### Does it work in a cold garage?

It has no heated vat, so cold rooms can cause failures. GamesRadar+ traced its only problems to a cold printing area. The AFU can preheat resin to 30 to 35 C.
