## Verdict

The Hi Combo is one of the cheapest ways to get 4 color printing in a well built package, with RFID filament detection and reliable auto leveling. It suits hobbyists who print colorful PLA and PETG models. Skip it if you print TPU or hate waste, since it cannot print TPU and Tom's Hardware saw purge waste nearly equal to the printed part on a 4 color job.

## Pros

- 4 color CFS included
- Fast, 32 min 33 s standard Benchy in Tom's Hardware testing
- Sturdy build and very sticky plate
- RFID auto fills Creality filament data
- Roomy 260 x 260 x 300 mm volume

## Cons

- Heavy purge waste on color changes
- Cannot print TPU
- Early firmware bugs and some clogs per All3DP
- Wide footprint with the CFS
- Sold out on the Creality store on 2026-10-30

## Specs

## Safety

- recalls: No recall found for this model as of 2026-10-30 (web search of cpsc.gov for 3D printer recalls by Creality, Bambu Lab, Elegoo, Sovol, Snapmaker and Flashforge; only the Bambu Lab A1 appeared)
- fcc: Not checked
- company status: Active

## Questions buyers ask

### Can the Hi Combo print TPU?

No. Tom's Hardware could not print TPU on it, even with the CFS bypassed.

### How much filament does multi color waste?

A lot. On a 4 color PETG print Tom's Hardware measured 23.25 g of purge waste for 32.32 g of printed part.

### How does it compare with the Bambu Lab A1 Combo?

Tom's Hardware says it costs about $50 more than the A1 at MSRP without being clearly better, though it has a taller 300 mm build height.
