## Verdict

The E18 is for small, fairly flat yards whose owners want the easiest possible setup, since it needs no wire and no RTK station. Both testers had it mowing within minutes and liked the even cut, but PCWorld found it weak on slopes, confused by glare and stones, and unable to work in the dark. Skip it for hilly or large lawns.

## Pros

- No wire or RTK station
- Setup in 10 to 30 minutes in tests
- Even cut from the first mow
- Quiet at 56 dB
- Remembers the yard after reinstall

## Cons

- Weak on slopes in PCWorld's test
- Cannot mow in the dark
- Sun glare and walkway stones confused it
- Narrow 8 in cut means long mow times

## Questions buyers ask

### Does the E18 need an RTK antenna?

No. It navigates by camera only, so there is no RTK station or boundary wire.

### Can it mow at night?

No. The vision system needs daylight, per PCWorld and Freshly Charged.

### How steep a slope can it handle?

eufy rates it for 40% (18°). PCWorld still needed no go zones on its sloped areas.
