## Verdict

Matic is a different kind of robot: tall, camera guided, with a self cleaning roller mop, record suction in Vacuum Wars testing and maps kept on the device. It is slow, too tall for most furniture and needs a new bag about every two weeks. Buy it if you value privacy and deep cleaning over speed; skip it if you want a hands off dock.

## Cons

- No self emptying or self washing dock
- 7.8 in tall body
- Slow navigation and long runs

## Questions buyers ask

### Does Matic empty itself?

No. Dust and dirty mop water go into a disposable bag in the robot. Matic says bags typically last about 2 weeks.

### Does it send camera images to the cloud?

Vacuum Wars says maps are built on the device and nothing is uploaded, and Domino says maps, camera feeds and history are processed locally by default.

### Can it clean under my bed?

The body is 7.8 in tall, but Matic says the cleaning head is 3.0 in tall, so it can reach part way under some furniture.

### Can I return it?

Matic offers a 6 month risk free trial with free returns in the contiguous US.
