## Verdict

The i215 LiDAR is a good pick for a 1/4 to 1/3 acre yard with trees or shade, since it needs no wire and no RTK antenna. PCWorld and AndroidGuys both found its LiDAR navigation reliable, but it has no cliff sensor and rear wheel drive struggles on steep side slopes. Skip it if your lawn has raised edges or drop offs near fences.

## Pros

- No wire or RTK antenna
- Works under trees and next to fences
- Up to 20 zones with per zone heights
- Long 160 min runtime
- 3 year mower warranty

## Cons

- No cliff sensor, slipped off a raised edge in PCWorld's test
- Rear wheel drive spins on steep, damp slopes
- Leaves a strip along vertical edges
- 4G plan costs extra after year one

## Questions buyers ask

### Does it need an RTK antenna?

No. It navigates with LiDAR and cameras, so there is no antenna or wire to install.

### Is there a subscription?

Built in 4G is included for the first year per AndroidGuys, then about $32.90 a year. The mower still works over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth without it.

### Will it fall off a raised edge?

It can. PCWorld's unit slipped off a raised strip by a fence, and Navimow confirmed there is no cliff sensor, so map boundaries carefully.
