## Verdict

The X7 Gen 2 suits mid size yards with trees and slopes where you want a wide deck and night mowing without an antenna. Independent testing is thin so far, and you need a subscription after the included period. If you have more than 0.75 acre, look at the X7 Plus Gen 2 at $2,999 instead.

## Questions buyers ask

### Does it work under trees?

Sunseeker says VSLAM 2.0 keeps it navigating when satellite signal drops, and Yanko Design reported the map held under 32 mature oaks.

### Is there an ongoing fee?

Yes. Sunseeker includes NetRTK+ 4G for 24 or 60 months, then charges $49 a year, and the mower needs an active subscription to keep working.

### What is the difference from the X7 Plus Gen 2?

Sunseeker's US page gives one spec list for both; the Plus costs $2,999 and is rated for 1.5 acres versus 0.75 acre for the X7 Gen 2 at $2,499.
