## Verdict

The S10 is for people who want a robot that fills and drains its own water from a nearby sink or laundry line, and testers rated its roller mop highly. Navigation and object detection are weak, it is tall and wide, and setup takes more work than a normal dock. At full price it is expensive, so wait for a sale or look at the newer S20.

## Pros

- Refills and drains itself from home plumbing
- Strong roller mop results
- Mop lifts on carpet
- Dust station holds up to 70 days

## Cons

- Weak navigation and object detection
- Needs two separate stations
- Too large for some tight spaces
- Matter control limited to on and off
- High price before discounts

## Specs

- suction: 6,500 Pa (SwitchBot)
- navigation: SwitchBot's store page does not name the navigation type; Android Authority says it saves up to three floor maps and has small headlights, while The Hook Up rated its navigation weak
- obstacle avoidance: Not described by SwitchBot; The Hook Up listed weak object detection as a con
- mopping: RevoRoll roller mop with RinseSync that lifts on carpet (SwitchBot); The Hook Up measured its mopping second best of any robot it had tested, but the roller does not lift enough for high pile carpet
- self empty: Yes, Auto-Empty and Dry Station holds dust for up to 70 days; 3 bags included (SwitchBot)
- dock features: Two stations: an auto empty and hot air drying station, plus a separate Water Station that connects to a water supply and drain to refill and empty the robot (SwitchBot); an optional External Water Tank costs $79.99 for homes without plumbing access (Android Authority)
- height: About 4.53 in tall and 14.37 in wide, 6.36 kg (Android Authority)
- app: SwitchBot app with schedules and virtual walls; works with Alexa, Google Home and Siri (SwitchBot); The Hook Up found Matter via Hub 2 limited to on and off and no local control

## Safety

- recalls: No recall found as of 2026-10-30 (CPSC recall API search on saferproducts.gov by brand name returned no SwitchBot recall)
- fcc: Not checked
- company status: Active
- warranty: 1 year (SwitchBot store)

## Questions buyers ask

### Do I need a plumber to install it?

Not always, but the Water Station must sit near a water supply and drain. Digital Trends noted setup is more complex than a normal robot, and SwitchBot sells an External Water Tank for homes without a nearby line.

### Will it mop my carpet?

The mop lifts on carpet, but The Hook Up found it does not lift high enough to keep high pile carpet dry.

### How often do I change the dust bag?

SwitchBot says the auto empty station holds dust for up to 70 days. Three bags come in the box.
