# Whisker Litter-Robot 4 replacement parts

On the Litter-Robot 4 the only parts you buy on a schedule are the carbon filter (Whisker says monthly) and the waste drawer liners (about one a week for one cat), which come to roughly $355 over 3 years at full price. Seal strips, the globe liner, the laser board and the power supply are only replaced when worn or faulty. If your unit is still under the WhiskerCare warranty, Whisker sends many of these parts free through Replacement Parts in your account, so check that before you pay.

### How often should I change the Litter-Robot 4 carbon filter?

Whisker recommends a new carbon filter every month, so a $30 six pack lasts half a year. Homes with several cats may need to change it sooner.

### Do I have to use Whisker brand liners?

Whisker sells custom fitted liners that fit the Litter-Robot 2, 3, 4, EVO and 5 drawers, in 10, 25 and 50 packs. The 50 pack at $35 is the cheapest per bag.

### Is the OdorTrap pack required?

No. OdorTrap packs are optional, and Whisker presents them as an alternative to the carbon filter. If you use them, Whisker says to replace a pack every 2 weeks.
