As of October 27, 2026, the Landroid Vision codes owners see most are E1 (outside boundary), E3 (blade motor fault), E4 (mower trapped) and E8 (cannot find base). For E3, Worx says to power off, turn the mower over with gloves on, clear twigs, stones and grass from the blades, and cut grass taller than 9 cm (about 3.5 in) with a regular mower first. For E1 and E4, keep the lawn edge flat and clear, keep grass under 9 cm, and make passages at least 2 m (about 6.5 ft) wide. For E8, check that the charging station is level, powered with a green light, and that its QR code is clean.
| Code | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| E1 | Outside boundary: the mower is outside the mowing area | Keep the lawn edge flat and clear, start the mower inside the lawn near the base, mow in daylight and clean the camera lens |
| E2 | Wheel motor error, usually a blocked wheel | Power off, turn the mower over on a flat surface and remove twigs, mud or stones from the wheels |
| E3 | Blade motor fault, usually a blockage or grass that is too tall | Power off, clear the blade area wearing gloves, and pre cut grass over 9 cm |
| E4 | Mower trapped, from collisions, slippery ground or narrow exits | Update firmware, move or fence off obstacles, keep grass under 9 cm, wait for dry ground, widen passages to 2 m |
| E5 | Mower lifted | Put the mower back on the ground and press Start to reset |
| E6 | Mower upside down | Turn the mower upright and press Start to reset |
| E7 | Battery charging error | Move the base out of temperatures above 55°C or below 3°C, level the station, clean the charging poles |
| E8 | Cannot find the charging station | Level the station, clean its QR code, check for a green power light, check the RFID and magnetic strip setup |
| E9 | Mowing zones not defined; lawn exploration required | Run the lawn exploration in the Landroid app |
| E10 | Wi-Fi lock: mower lost its Wi-Fi link and locked | Reconnect to the previous Wi-Fi network, or download the unlock file from your Landroid account |
| E11 | Battery temperature out of range | Let the mower cool down or warm up before use |
| E12 | Camera lens is dirty or blocked | Remove anything covering the camera and wipe the lens with a dry, soft cloth |
| E13 | Camera error | Restart the mower; contact Worx support if it repeats |
| E14 | Insufficient fill light | Mow in better light and keep the camera clean |
| E15 | Blade height adjustment blocked | Power off, turn the mower over with gloves, clear the blade disc and check the blades turn freely |
| E16 | Traverse fail (shown in the app) | Check the passage between zones is wide, flat and clear |
| E17 | RFID reader error | Restart the mower; contact Worx support if it repeats |
| E20 | Leaving the charging station failed | Clear the area in front of the station and make sure it sits flat |
| E25 | Firmware download failed | Check the Wi-Fi signal at the mower and try the update again |
Codes and causes from the Worx Landroid Vision Error and Status Messages wiki, checked October 27, 2026. Detailed fixes are from the Worx pages for E1, E2, E3, E4, E7, E8, E10, E12 and E15; for the other codes the Worx entry gives only the name, so the step shown is a basic first check. Older Landroid models without Vision use different wording.
If the same code comes back after the fix, contact Worx support first, especially under warranty. Out of warranty, compare the repair quote with a new robot's price and 3 year cost.

Where Landroid Vision codes show up
Landroid Vision mowers use a camera instead of a boundary wire, so many of their codes are about seeing the lawn. Each code shows on the mower display or LED panel and in the Worx Landroid app. Worx lists them as E1 to E25 on its help wiki, with the display text and the app text side by side.
Some codes, like E5 lifted and E6 upside down, are safety stops. The blades stop at once. Put the mower back on its wheels on the lawn and press Start to clear them.
E1 and E4: boundary and trapped errors
E1 means the mower thinks it is outside the lawn. Worx lists five common causes: an unclear edge, a badly placed magnetic strip, starting the mower off the lawn, slopes or holes that make it slip out, and poor light. Keep edges flat, remove leaves and debris, and keep magnetic strips at least 32 cm from the edge, on flat grass and not buried. Always start the mower on the lawn near its base, not on gravel or paths.
E4 means the mower is stuck after hitting things, slipping or failing to find a way out. Worx says to update the firmware first. Then move toys, tables and lawn lights, put a temporary barrier around things you cannot move, wait for wet or muddy grass to dry, and raise the Border Distance setting in the app. Exits and passages should be at least 2 meters wide.
E3 and E15: blade errors
E3 is a blade motor fault. Worx says it usually comes from something caught in the blades or grass that is too tall or dense. Power the mower off, put on gloves, turn it over, and remove twigs, stones and packed clippings from around the blade disc.
Worx recommends keeping the lawn under 9 cm. If the grass has grown taller, cut it with a normal mower before the robot goes out again. E15 means the blade height adjustment is blocked, often by dense grass or branches. The fix is the same: power off, clear the disc, and turn the blades by hand to check they move freely.
E7 and E8: charging and docking errors
E7 is a charging error. Worx lists three causes. The battery may be too hot or too cold, so move the base out of spots above 55°C (131°F) or below 3°C (37°F). The station may be tilted more than 5 degrees, so set it flat and level. Or the charging contacts may be dirty or out of line, so clean the poles and dock the mower again.
E8 means the mower cannot find the base. Check that the station is flat with no obstacles or magnetic strips nearby, that its QR code is clean and not in harsh sun, and that its power light is green. If the mower circles without docking, check the RFID setup. After a firmware update or a change to the garden, Worx says to refresh the boundary data and run the Edge Routine from the app.
When a repeat error means a worn part
Repeated E3 errors on a clear, short lawn can mean dull or damaged blades that drag in the grass. Landroid blades are small and cheap to swap, and worn blades also leave a ragged cut. Check them often and replace them as a set. Repeated E2 errors with clean wheels point to a worn wheel motor or gearbox.
On a Vision mower the camera is a key sensor. If E12 or E14 keeps coming back with a clean lens, the lens may be scratched or the camera may be failing. E7 errors that return with clean contacts and normal weather can mean an aging battery. Note when the error happens, such as during startup, mowing or charging, since Worx asks for that.
When to contact Worx support
Contact Worx if an error stays after you follow the steps on its wiki. For a wheel error, Worx asks for photos or a short video of the wheel area and a note on when the error happens. Do the same for any code: send the code, the time it appeared and what the mower was doing.
Have the serial number and purchase date ready. Register the mower in your Landroid account so support can see its firmware and history. Camera, RFID and motor faults that return after a restart are hardware issues and are best handled through Worx support while the mower is under warranty.

Questions people ask
What does E3 mean on a Worx Landroid?
E3 is a blade motor fault. Worx says it is usually a blockage in the blades or grass that is too tall. Power off, clear the blade area, and cut grass over 9 cm with a regular mower first.
What is error E1 on a Landroid Vision?
E1 means the mower is outside the boundary. Keep the lawn edge flat and clear, start the mower on the lawn near the base, mow in daylight and clean the camera lens.
Why does my Landroid say cannot find base?
That is E8. Check that the charging station is flat, has a green power light, and that its QR code is clean and not in strong sun. Refresh the boundary data after firmware updates or garden changes.
How do I fix the Landroid E10 Wi-Fi lock?
E10 appears when the mower loses its Wi-Fi link, for example after a router change or winter storage. Reconnect it to the previous network, or download the unlock file from your Landroid account.
How tall can grass be for a Landroid Vision?
Worx recommends keeping the lawn under 9 cm (about 3.5 in). Taller grass strains the blade motor and can cause E3 and E4 errors.
