Why the Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo beats the Prusa Research Original Prusa MK4S

The Kobra S1 Combo ranks above the MK4S on value: TechRadar gave it 4.5/5 and it is a $399 enclosed, 4 color printer, while the MK4S scored a perfect 5/5 but costs $999 and prints one color unless you add the MMU3. Note that the Anycubic store showed the Kobra S1 Combo as unavailable on October 27, 2026. If you want the best print quality and a printer you can repair for years, the MK4S is the safer pick.

How we ranked these 3D printers

Only five printers here have a numeric score from a published review: the Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo, Prusa MK4S, Creality K2 Plus Combo, Prusa CORE One+ and Bambu Lab H2D. Their review average counts for 70% of the score and value counts for 30%, so cheaper printers gain points. Tom's Hardware gives Editor's Choice awards instead of numbers, so printers with only an award are listed after the scored ones, not ranked, until a reviewer publishes a score. Each printer page shows what every reviewer found. Full method.
