Ecovacs Deebot error codes and alerts: what they mean and how to fix them

Ecovacs publishes number codes only for Wi-Fi setup errors in the ECOVACS HOME app. Cleaning faults on current Deebots show as a flashing red light plus a spoken alert and a written message in the app, so the fix depends on the message.

Short answer

As of October 27, 2026, Ecovacs lists number codes only for Wi-Fi setup in the ECOVACS HOME app. Codes 10010, 10018 and 10025 mean the Deebot cannot join your network: move it within about 3 meters of the router, use 2.4 GHz and check the password. Codes 10016 and 10017 mean setup timed out: turn off mobile data and join the ECOVACS_xxxx network. For cleaning faults, current models such as the T50 OMNI flash a red light and explain the problem in the app. The most common ones are a tangled main or side brush (clean and refit it), a stuck drive wheel (clear debris), and a robot that cannot dock or charge (clear the path and clean the contacts).

Number codes are from Ecovacs' network error code FAQ. Alerts are from the Deebot T50 OMNI instruction manual and Ecovacs support FAQs, checked October 27, 2026. Ecovacs does not publish a number list for cleaning faults on current models, and alert wording varies by model and app version.

How Deebot error messages work

Current Deebots do not show a number on the robot. When something goes wrong, the indicator flashes red, the robot speaks an alert, and the ECOVACS HOME app shows a written message with steps. The T50 OMNI manual describes a flashing red indicator simply as a malfunction and sends you to the app for details.

The only number codes Ecovacs publishes are for Wi-Fi setup. They appear in the app when pairing fails. That is why searches for a Deebot code number often lead to setup advice rather than a brush or wheel fault.

If you see a three digit code from another site, check the message text in your app. That text is what Ecovacs support will ask you for.

Fixing Wi-Fi setup codes

Most setup codes come down to four things: the robot is too far from the router, the network is 5 GHz only, the password is wrong, or the phone is on mobile data instead of home Wi-Fi.

  • Turn off mobile data on your phone.
  • Put the Deebot within about 3 meters of the router.
  • Make sure it joins a 2.4 GHz network. Ecovacs also says to avoid special characters in the network name.
  • Press Reset briefly until the Wi-Fi light blinks, then add the robot again in the ECOVACS HOME app.
  • If the ECOVACS_xxxx network does not appear, hold Reset until the start tone and restart your router.

Fixing common cleaning alerts

Brush alerts are the most common cleaning fault. Ecovacs says a main brush that stops turning usually has debris wrapped around it, so remove it, clean it and refit it. Side brushes that spin slowly are often tangled or not clicked in. A low battery also slows the brushes on purpose while the robot heads home, so let it charge before you take anything apart.

For a stuck driving wheel, turn the wheel by hand and press it in to feel for grit. Pull out hair and string around the axle. If the robot gets stuck in the same spot again and again, Ecovacs suggests raising furniture, adding a barrier or drawing a virtual boundary in the app.

Docking and charging alerts usually mean the station moved, lost power, or has something in front of it. Start cleaning from the station, keep the route clear and wipe the charging contacts on both the robot and the station.

Station alerts on OMNI models

OMNI stations add their own alerts. If auto empty fails, Ecovacs says the station detected weak suction, so replace a full dust bag and clear the outlet. If the dust cabin looks dirty inside, the bag may be torn.

The mop washing tray alert means the station could not drain dirty water. Press the dirty water tank down firmly, check both sealing plugs, clear the suction port, rinse the tray and reseat the floating ball. Then turn the station off and on.

When a repeat alert means a worn part, and when to call Ecovacs

If the same brush alert comes back right after a careful clean, the brush itself may be bent or worn, so fit a new main brush or side brush. A drive wheel alert that returns on an open floor with no tangles points to the driving wheel. Ecovacs says to contact service if the wheel stays stuck. A station that keeps reporting failed auto empty with a fresh bag and a clear outlet also needs service.

Contact ECOVACS Customer Service when an alert stays after the steps above, when the robot will not charge on a clean, powered station, or when the mop tray alert keeps returning after a power cycle. Have the model name, serial number and proof of purchase ready, and check your warranty period first, since a covered fault should not cost you parts.

Questions people ask

Why is my Deebot light flashing red?

On current models such as the T50 OMNI, a flashing red indicator means a malfunction. Open the ECOVACS HOME app to see which part has the problem and the steps to fix it.

What does Ecovacs error code 10010 mean?

The Deebot cannot connect to your network. Move it within about 3 meters of the router, use a 2.4 GHz network, check the password and keep the phone on the same Wi-Fi.

What does Deebot error 10016 or 10017 mean?

Wi-Fi setup timed out. Turn off mobile data, connect the phone to the robot's ECOVACS_xxxx network, and if it is missing, reset the robot and restart the router.

Why does my Deebot keep saying it cannot return to the station?

Ecovacs says the station may have moved, lost power, or the path is blocked. Put it back in place, check the plug, clear the route and start cleaning from the station.

Why is my Deebot showing offline?

The app cannot reach the robot. Refresh the device list, close and reopen the app, and check for updates. A blinking Wi-Fi light can mean your Wi-Fi password changed.
