Ecovacs GOAT error codes and how to fix them

Ecovacs GOAT error codes start with E and appear in the Ecovacs Home app when the mower stops. Ecovacs publishes the main codes in its GOAT manuals and help articles, covering signal, lifting, trapping and battery temperature.

Short answer

Ecovacs GOAT codes start with E. In the GOAT O800 RTK and O1200 RTK manual, E621, E622, E623 and E627 mean the mower was lifted or trapped for a long time, E504, E505 and E650 point to an RTK reference station problem, and E674 means the battery is too hot or cold. Ecovacs only prints a few codes in its manuals; for any other code, check the details in the app, which Ecovacs says is the first step.

Which GOAT codes apply to your model

The GOAT range includes RTK models that use a reference station, like the O800 RTK and O1200 RTK, and LiDAR models like the A3000 LiDAR PRO in our rankings, which in our data does not need RTK. The RTK station codes (E504, E505, E650) only make sense on models that use a station.

The lifted and trapped alarms (E621, E622, E623 and E627) are listed in the O series manual, and the US support page for the A3000 LiDAR PRO also has an article titled How to handle the GOAT alarms E621 E622 E623 E6271, so the same family of alarms appears on that model too.

Fixing lifted and trapped alarms

Ecovacs says to turn the GOAT off for safety and set it on a level part of the lawn. If the error clears, nothing else is needed. If it stays, power off again and look for what is trapping it: a dip, a root, a narrow gap or a low obstacle.

  • Remove the obstacle if you can.
  • If you cannot, draw a no entry zone around it in the app.
  • Restart the task and watch the next pass through that area.

Charging and docking problems

These do not always come with a code. Ecovacs says the A3000 LiDAR PRO stays powered on while docked; to switch it off, take it off the station and hold the power button. If it will not charge, check the outlet, push the mower back onto the station and wait for the blue light, and clean corrosion off the charging contacts. Charging stops when the battery is at or below 0°C or at or above 55°C.

If the GOAT cannot find its station, Ecovacs lists a moved station, obstacles within 2 m, a blocked or damaged reflective film inside the station, and reflective objects nearby such as umbrellas, metal railings or mirrors. Cleaning the radar sensor on top and the front AI fisheye camera also helps.

When to contact support

Contact Ecovacs after sales if the station light stays off with a working outlet, if the GOAT will not charge after you clean the contacts and the battery is in range, or if any code comes back after you clear the cause and restart. Have the model, serial number and the code from the app ready.

Our data does not list a warranty length for the GOAT A3000 LiDAR PRO. Ecovacs' US returns and warranty page states products are covered for 12 months from the date of purchase; check your order for any longer GOAT specific term.

Questions people ask

What does Ecovacs GOAT error E621 mean?

In the GOAT O800 RTK and O1200 RTK manual, E621, E622, E623 and E627 mean the mower was lifted or trapped for a long time. Turn it off, place it on level lawn and remove the obstacle or add a no entry zone.

What does GOAT error E674 mean?

The battery temperature is out of range, so the GOAT stops and returns to the station. Wait for the battery to return to normal or move the mower somewhere cooler or warmer, then restart.

Why will my Ecovacs GOAT not charge?

Ecovacs lists an unpowered outlet, the mower not seated on the station, dirty or corroded contacts, and a battery at or below 0°C or at or above 55°C. Charging resumes once the battery is between 3 and 55°C.

Where can I find all Ecovacs GOAT error codes?

Ecovacs does not publish one master list. The codes are in the troubleshooting section of each GOAT instruction manual and in model specific articles on help.ecovacs.com. The app also shows details for each error.
