Navimow vs Mammotion: which robot mower fits your yard

Navimow vs Mammotion comes down to how your mower finds its way: Navimow leans on free network RTK plus cameras, Mammotion leans on LiDAR plus cameras. Navimow is cheaper for small open yards, Mammotion handles tree cover and steep, cramped lawns better.

Researched by Riley Hart · updated Oct 15, 2026 · How we research

Short answer

Pick Navimow if your yard has open sky and good cell coverage and you want the lowest price: the i206 AWD costs $849 and the i210 AWD $1,049 as of October 15, 2026, and the X430 is a strong big yard machine. Pick Mammotion if your lawn sits under trees, near tall buildings or has steep, tight sections, because its LiDAR does not depend on satellites. Mammotion also gives 3 years of free 4G data and a 3 year battery warranty, against 1 year of data and a 2 year battery warranty from Navimow.

The two lineups in the US

Navimow (made by Segway) sells a wide US range. On its store on October 15, 2026, the i105 was $799 for 0.125 acre, the i206 AWD $849 for 0.15 acre, the i210 AWD $1,049 for 0.25 acre and the i215 LiDAR $1,329 for 0.37 acre. Above those sit the H210 ($1,799, 0.25 acre), H220 ($2,199, 0.5 acre), X430 ($2,499, 1 acre) and X450 ($2,999, 1.5 acres). Older X3 models run up to the X390 at $4,499 for 2.5 acres.

Mammotion's US list is shorter. The LUBA 3 AWD costs $2,399 for the 1500 (0.37 acre), $2,799 for the 3000 (0.75 acre) and $3,299 for the 5000 (1.25 acres). The LUBA mini 2 AWD 1500H is $1,799, down from $1,999, for 0.37 acre. The cheaper YUKA mini 2 ($1,399 on sale) and YUKA mini were shown as out of stock when we checked.

So Navimow covers the low end and the very large end, while Mammotion concentrates on the $1,800 to $3,300 band.

Navigation: network RTK vs LiDAR

This is the biggest difference. The Navimow i2 AWD uses network RTK, which gets satellite correction data over a cell connection, fused with a camera. Navimow says network RTK access is included at no extra cost and that the cellular data it needs is free. Where your postcode has no coverage, you mount the GNSS antenna that comes in the box. PCWorld found network RTK switched on by itself at no cost on its X430 test lawn, and Bob Vila never needed the X430's antenna.

Mammotion's current mowers use LiDAR, a spinning laser that maps the yard in 3D, plus two cameras. The LUBA mini 2 and the LUBA 3 1500 use no RTK at all. The LUBA 3 3000 and 5000 add NetRTK on top of LiDAR, which Mammotion calls Tri Fusion.

Satellite based mowers can lose accuracy under dense trees or next to tall walls. LiDAR does not rely on the sky, which is why Techaeris found the LUBA mini 2 kept straight, repeatable paths under a dense canopy. If your yard is open, network RTK works well and costs less. If it is shaded, Mammotion is the safer bet. Navimow's H2 series and i215 LiDAR also add LiDAR, so Navimow is no longer RTK only.

Slopes, cut and coverage

Mammotion rates both the LUBA 3 and LUBA mini 2 for 80% slopes (38.6°). Navimow rates the i2 AWD for 45% (24°) and the X430 for 84% (40°). On small yards that matters: the cheap Navimows are for gentle hills, while the mini 2 is built for steep banks. Notebookcheck's slope test of the European mini 2 reached 70% before a tip over error, so treat maker figures as a ceiling.

The i2 AWD cuts a narrow 7.1 inch strip, so it mows in many short passes. The LUBA mini 2 has a 20 cm main disc plus a fixed 12 cm edge disc that Mammotion says mows to about 2.1 inches from walls. The X430's 17 inch deck and the LUBA 3's 15.7 inch deck are both made for bigger lawns.

Warranty and data costs

Navimow's limited warranty covers the i206 AWD, i210 AWD, X430 and X450 for 3 years, but battery packs and power adapters for only 2 years. i2 cutting disks get 90 days and blades are not covered.

Mammotion lists a 3 year warranty on the LUBA 3 AWD and LUBA mini 2 AWD, and its warranty statement gives their batteries 3 years as well.

On data, Mammotion builds a 4G module into the LUBA 3 and LUBA mini 2 with 3 years of free data under its 2026 policy. After that it costs $19.90 for 3 months or $49.90 a year. If you stop paying, the mower still mows but remote control, live video and NetRTK over 4G stop working. Navimow sells the Access+ 4G module for $119.99 with 1 year of free service, then $32.90 a year. Our 3 year cost estimate for the i206 and i210 includes two years of renewals ($65.80).

What reviewers found

The Navimow X430 was Bob Vila's Best Overall among seven wire free mowers, handling thick St. Augustine grass and steep side yards, and it earned PCWorld's Editors' Choice after an even cut on a 7,600 sq ft lawn with about 110 minutes per charge. No independent hands on review of the i206 or i210 AWD was found yet.

The LUBA 3 AWD 3000 got 5/5 for performance and 4/5 for value from TechRadar, which also saw front wheel scuffing in shade during zero turns and a glitchy app. Gear Diary gave it 4.5/5. The LUBA mini 2 AWD scored 9.0/10 from Techaeris and was Bob Vila's Best for Complex Yards, with limited coverage for the price as the main drawback.

Who should pick which

  • Small, open yard under 0.25 acre on a budget: Navimow i206 AWD or i210 AWD.
  • Small yard with trees, narrow side passages or steep banks: Mammotion LUBA mini 2 AWD.
  • Large, hilly lawn up to 1 acre with open sky: Navimow X430.
  • Large lawn with heavy tree cover or patchy cell signal: Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD 3000 or 5000.
  • Poor cell coverage at home: Mammotion, since the mini 2 and LUBA 3 1500 need no RTK at all.

When to buy

Both brands discount often. The i206 AWD, i210 AWD and X430 launched in February 2026, so they have no Black Friday price history yet. Our Navimow and Mammotion Black Friday pages track the lowest past sale prices and update daily.

Questions people ask

Is Navimow or Mammotion better?

Neither wins outright. Navimow is cheaper for small, open yards and its X430 was a top pick in Bob Vila and PCWorld tests. Mammotion's LiDAR mowers handle tree cover and steep, cramped yards better and come with longer free data and battery coverage.

Do Navimow mowers need an antenna?

Not where network RTK coverage exists. Navimow says network RTK and the cell data it needs are free. A GNSS antenna comes in the box for yards outside coverage.

Does Mammotion charge a subscription?

The LUBA 3 AWD and LUBA mini 2 AWD include 3 years of free 4G data under Mammotion's 2026 policy. After that it is $19.90 for 3 months or $49.90 a year. The mower keeps mowing without it, but 4G features stop.

Which has the longer warranty?

Both give 3 years on the mower. Mammotion covers the LUBA 3 and mini 2 battery for 3 years, Navimow covers batteries and chargers for 2 years.

Which is better for steep slopes?

Mammotion rates the LUBA 3 and LUBA mini 2 for 80%. Navimow's X430 is rated 84%, but the budget i2 AWD models only reach 45%.
