SCORED
The X430 is the strongest all rounder here for big, awkward lawns with real hills, and two independent testers rated it highly. It is large, heavy and expensive, so it is overkill for a small yard. Navimow's own store showed it sold out on our check date, though PCWorld lists it at Lowe's, Home Depot and Walmart.
Best for: large complex yards with steep slopes. Skip if: your lawn is small or flat.

- Named Best Overall. Handled thick St. Augustine grass and steep side yards better than the other six mowers tested; mapping was the easiest in the group; the RTK antenna was never needed.
- Bob Vila
- Editors' Choice. On a 7,600 sq ft test lawn it stayed inside boundaries, climbed slopes without slipping and did not go over a raised edge that a smaller Navimow fell into; cut was even at 3 and 4 in.
