Segway Navimow won't charge or return to the station: causes and fixes
A Navimow that won't charge or won't go back to its station usually has dirty charging contacts, a station with no power or a bad cable, a battery outside its temperature range, or weak positioning or WiFi on the way home. Here are the causes and fixes from Segway Navimow's support pages and manual error table.

Check the charging station first. No power light means the outlet, breaker or cable is at fault, and a blue light while docked means the mower is not getting power through dirty or corroded charging contacts. Navimow also stops charging when the battery is below 32°F or above 127°F. If it will not drive home, clear the docking area, update firmware, and move the station or RTK antenna away from walls and trees.
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Station power light off | No power: outlet, breaker, wiring or switch | Test the outlet with another appliance or try a different outlet. Have an electrician replace a faulty outlet. |
| Power light on, mower not charging | Non Navimow, loose or chewed charging cable, or an extension cable | Check all connections, plug the power supply in directly without an extension, and order a new cable from Navimow if it is frayed. |
| Blue light while docked | Dirty or corroded charging strips, so power is not passing to the mower | Turn off power and clean the strips and charging port with a dry brush or cloth. No alcohol or solvents. The light should turn green. |
| Charging protection icon in the app | Battery below 32°F (0°C) or above 127°F (53°C) | Wait. Charging resumes on its own once the battery is back between 37°F and 120°F. |
| Mower misses the dock | Station on a slope or obstacles near it | Put the station on flat ground with 1.6 ft clear on each side and 6.5 ft clear in front. |
| Error 6004 | Mower failed to return to the station | Place it on the station by hand, check the station is on a flat surface, and move the station if needed. |
| Will not return after moving the station | Station or RTK antenna near walls, trees or roofs, so positioning is weak | Keep the station and antenna 6.6 ft from tall structures with open sky above. |
| Mower reroutes or stops on the way home | Dirty camera or LiDAR sees false obstacles, or old firmware | Wipe the camera and LiDAR with a microfiber cloth. Update firmware in the app. |
| Mower dead on the lawn | Battery ran flat on the way back | Carry it to the station and charge for about an hour, then check the level. On i1 models with Access+, the 4G anti theft map shows where it stopped. |
| Error 1024 or 1025 | Battery pack too hot or too cold | Move the mower to a normal environment. Contact after sales if it persists. |
| Error 5003 or 5004 | Charging current or station voltage abnormal | Keep the battery at normal temperature and restart. Contact after sales if it repeats. |

We read every question. When several owners ask the same thing, the answer goes on this page.
1. Check power to the station
Start at the wall. If the station power light is off, test the outlet with another appliance or a tester pen, check the breaker, and try a different outlet. Navimow says a faulty outlet should be replaced by a licensed electrician.
Then check the charging cable and power supply. Navimow warns against non Navimow cables and says pets and animals often chew the cable. Turn off power, check every connection, and bypass any extension cord by plugging the power supply in directly. A frayed cable should be replaced with a genuine one from Navimow.
2. Clean the charging contacts
If the station shows a blue light with the mower docked, power is reaching the station but not the mower. Grime, clippings or corrosion on the charging strips is the usual cause. Turn off the power supply and clean the strips on the station and the charging port on the mower with a dry brush or cloth. Navimow says not to use alcohol, gasoline, acetone or any liquid. A green light means contact is restored.
3. Fix the station spot and the route home
The station needs flat, level ground and room to dock: 1.6 ft clear on the left and right and 6.5 ft clear in front. Clear stones, toys, hoses, sprinklers, long grass and low branches.
Navimow uses the station as a positioning reference, so walls, dense trees or roofs within about 6.6 ft can stop the mower finding it. RTK owners should also check that the antenna has open sky. Moving the station often triggers return problems, so recheck placement after any move.
- Restart the mower and reopen the app.
- Update firmware under Settings, Mower, Device Management with the mower docked, battery above 20% and no mowing due in the next hour.
- Wipe the camera lens and LiDAR sensor with a microfiber cloth so it does not reroute around false obstacles.
- Improve WiFi with a better router or an extender, since the mower needs a stable connection to load its map.
4. Battery temperature and a flat battery
Navimow protects the battery below 32°F (0°C) and above 127°F (53°C). The app shows a charging protection icon and the mower will not mow. It resumes once the battery is back within range. If the mower will not turn on at all, Navimow's i1 FAQ says to charge it on the station for about one hour and check the battery level again.
5. Hardware faults and warranty
If the outlet, cable, contacts, placement and temperature all check out, the charging station, power adapter or battery may be faulty. Battery error codes such as 1020 to 1023 point to the battery pack, and 5004 to the station voltage. Navimow's US support address for these cases is [email protected]. Include the mower's serial number (SN), the date and time of the fault, and a photo or video.
These fixes come from Navimow's support pages; we do not test mowers hands on. A failed adapter or charging cable is a cheap part. A battery or station fault on a mower still under warranty should go to Navimow support before you buy anything.

Questions people ask
Why is my Navimow charging station light blue?
Power reaches the station but not the mower. Turn off power and clean the charging strips and port with a dry brush or cloth until the light turns green.
At what temperature will a Navimow stop charging?
Navimow protects the battery below 32°F (0°C) and above 127°F (53°C). Charging resumes between 37°F and 120°F.
Why won't my Navimow go back to its charging station?
Usually obstacles near the station, a station or antenna too close to walls or trees, old firmware, or a dirty camera or LiDAR.
How much space does a Navimow charging station need?
Navimow says 1.6 ft on each side and 6.5 ft in front, on flat ground, with no tall structures within about 6.6 ft.
Can I use an extension cord with a Navimow station?
Navimow suggests bypassing any extension cable when charging fails, by plugging the power supply in directly to rule it out.
