Navimow error codes: what they mean and how to fix them

Navimow error codes are four digit numbers shown in the Navimow app when the mower stops. Segway publishes one support article per code for each series, and the most common codes cover maps, position, docking and getting trapped.

A Navimow error is a four digit code. Segway's first step for almost every code is the same: fix the physical cause, then press the STOP button on the mower to clear the code and resume. Codes in the 6100s cover maps, position, docking and getting stuck, 7100s cover battery and wheel data, and 8101 and 9100s are sensor and system faults that often need support.

How Navimow error codes work

Segway's i Series manual says a fault shows as a four digit error code, and that you press STOP to clear it. The manual itself does not list the codes. Segway keeps them in its online Help Center, with a separate error code section for each series, such as X4 and i2 LiDAR, and one article per code.

The table above uses the X4 series articles, which cover the X430 in our rankings. Many code numbers appear in more than one series, but Segway writes a separate article for each series, so check the article for your exact model before acting on a code.

The general fix sequence

Segway's articles follow the same pattern for most codes. Use it before contacting support.

Fix the physical cause: lift the mower out if it is stuck, move it back inside the boundary, or clear the dock.
Press STOP on the mower to clear the code.
Resume the task in the app.
If the code comes back, restart the mower. For 7102, Segway says to take it off the charger and hold OK for 3 seconds to power it off first.
If it still comes back, contact support with the serial number, the date and time of the error, and a video if you can.

Codes that point to the yard, not the mower

Several codes are usually caused by the lawn layout. For 6111 (path planning) and 6112 (trapped), Segway suggests adding off limit islands over narrow strips, gaps and bumps, or leveling them. For 6104 and 6113, check that the station is level, has no obstacles near it and has a clean charging port, and relocate the station in the app if needed.

For 6106, Segway also says to clean the camera lens, since a dirty camera can stop the mower from planning a path.

When to contact support

Contact Navimow support for 8101, which Segway says you cannot calibrate yourself, and for any code that returns after a restart. US owners can email [email protected], and the app also has Live Chat. Include the serial number, the date and time of the error and a video if possible.
