The LiDAX Ultra 1000 is a fair price way to get LiDAR mapping without a wire or an RTK antenna on a small, mostly flat lawn. Testers disagree on how well it works: PCtipp praised its cut, edges and obstacle handling, while inside digital found it hit flat objects and left about 10 cm uncut at edges. Skip it if your yard is steep, soft or bigger than a quarter acre.

Best for: small flat lawns under trees. Skip if: your yard is steep, soggy or over 0.25 acre.

  • 4G tracking needs an optional module

What independent reviewers found

Rated very good. Setup took 10 to 15 minutes, it climbed the claimed 45% slope, steered around a football and a wheelbarrow, and fast charging went from 15% to 90% in about 40 minutes. Runtime fell to a little over half of the expected 2.5 hours on hills, wet or tall grass.
PCtipp · 4.5/5
Critical verdict. LiDAR navigation was reliable under trees and the cut was clean, but auto mapping was poor, it drove into large flat objects, kept about 10 cm from edges instead of the claimed 5 cm, and dug tracks in soft ground. One charge did not cover 1,000 m².
