Researched by Riley Hart · updated Oct 30, 2026
Is the Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni worth it? A former flagship that now costs about $800, with one of the best mops Vacuum Wars has tested and very strong airflow. It costs $800 as of Oct 31, 2026, and BGR scored it 9/10.
A former flagship that now costs about $800, with one of the best mops Vacuum Wars has tested and very strong airflow. It suits homes with lots of hard floor and pets. Skip it if you need long runtime per charge or a big onboard bin, or if fringed rugs are common in your home.
Best for: hard floor homes that want top mopping. Skip if: you have many fringed or thin rugs.

Pros
- Top mopping scores from Vacuum Wars
- Very high measured airflow and pet hair pickup
- No hair wrap in Vacuum Wars testing
- Hot water wash, hot air drying and auto detergent
- Matter support for Apple Home and others
Cons
- Coverage per charge below average
- Small 220 ml robot bin
- Mapping errors reported by BGR
- Thin and fringed rugs tangle it, per MacRumors
- Chatty voice prompts
What independent reviewers found
- Measured 2.76 kPa suction and 27 CFM airflow, 93% pet hair pickup, 0% hair wrap, 158 of 184 on dried stains and 89% carpet deep clean. Coverage was 876 sq ft per charge against a 1,015 sq ft average.
- Vacuum Wars
- Three months of testing. Long hair did not tangle the brush, mopping and navigation beat the X8 Pro Omni, and Siri control through Matter worked. Thin rugs caused frequent tangles and vacuuming was loud. About 1,000 sq ft per charge.
- MacRumors
- Called the roller mop the best robot mop available and vacuuming very good. Mapping was error prone and needed about 20 minutes of fixes, and tanks are no longer see through.
- BGR · 9/10
- Found navigation efficient and reliable and rug detection consistent, but it could be clumsy around irregular furniture and relied on its bumper. Gave it an AA Recommended badge.
