Quick verdict · checked Oct 16, 2026

A good value for people who want a robot that empties, refills and washes its own mop without buying bags, now that it sells for $599.99 instead of $999.99. Reviewers liked its obstacle avoidance and threshold climbing but found it leaves floors very wet and stays too far from walls. Skip it if you have delicate wood floors or need strong deep carpet cleaning.

Best for: busy homes that want no bags to buy. Skip if: you have delicate wood floors.

Vacuum Wars · 3.36/5
Tested the US RV2820ZE. Strong obstacle avoidance and threshold climbing and an easy app, but too much water left on wood floors, weak on fine powder in thick rugs and limited edge cleaning. No overall score published; sub scores were performance 4/5, design 4/5, app 4/5 and value 3.5/5. TechRadar gave a Performance 4/5 subscore but no overall rating.
TechRadar
Never got stuck and handled gravy, coffee and mud stains in Stain Mode, but the extending pad did not reach corners and spot cleaning was hard to place precisely.

Questions buyers ask

Do I need to buy dust bags?

No. The base is bagless and Shark rates it for up to 60 days of debris before you empty it.

Is it safe on hardwood?

TechRadar found it left too much water on historic wood floors and the water level cannot be lowered in the app, so be careful with delicate wood.

How often do I refill the water?

Shark says the base tank lasts up to 30 days; Tech Advisor lists it at 1.7 L of fresh water.
