Husqvarna Automower won't connect to the app: causes and fixes
An Automower that won't connect to Automower Connect is usually out of Bluetooth range, already paired to another phone, on a 5 GHz WiFi network, or in an area with no cellular coverage. Here are the fixes from Husqvarna's support pages for Bluetooth, WiFi and cellular models.
Researched by Riley Hart · updated Oct 27, 2026 · How we research
Restart the mower and your phone, update Automower Connect and stand within 16 ft (5 m) of the mower. Bluetooth pairing usually fails because another phone is already connected or the PIN is wrong; the default is 1234 on mowers made from October 2023, or 0000 or 1111 on older ones. WiFi models only work on 2.4 GHz networks. Cellular models need coverage on a special network for connected devices, so strong phone signal is no guarantee.
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| App cannot find the mower | Phone too far away or Bluetooth off or blocked for the app | Stand within 16 ft (5 m). Turn on Bluetooth, allow it for the app, and on Android turn on location. |
| Pairing fails every time | Another phone already holds the connection | Disconnect the other device. Most models allow one connection; NERA, Aspire R6V, 308V and 312V allow two. |
| Pairing fails after a phone change | Old pairing saved in the phone's Bluetooth list | Remove the mower from the phone's Bluetooth settings, then pair again in the app. |
| Pairing request disappears | Phone shows the request only briefly | Watch for the pop up or notification and approve it quickly. |
| Wrong PIN message | PIN differs from the one set at first start | Use your PIN. Default is 1234 from October 2023, or 0000 or 1111 on older models. |
| Shows disconnected from WiFi | No WiFi saved, router off, or no internet | Check More, Settings, Automower Connect, WiFi for a saved network and confirm the router has internet. |
| Home network not listed | Router broadcasts only 5 GHz or 6 GHz | Turn on the 2.4 GHz band. Automower WiFi models do not support 5 GHz or 6 GHz. |
| Drops offline in parts of the lawn | Weak WiFi at the mower | Check signal in the app, move the router closer or add a 2.4 GHz outdoor extender or mesh unit. |
| Cellular model offline | No coverage on the network Automower uses | Check whether your phone has any signal there. A dealer can test coverage at your address. |
| Wrong mower in the app | More than one mower on the account | Match the serial number on the rating plate. |
| Still fails after all checks | App glitch | Uninstall and reinstall Automower Connect, then try again. |

We read every question. When several owners ask the same thing, the answer goes on this page.
1. Basic resets
Husqvarna's first steps are the same for every model. Restart the mower, restart your phone, and update Automower Connect to the latest version. Then check the link your model uses: Bluetooth needs you within 16 ft (5 m), cellular needs coverage for both the phone and the mower, and WiFi needs a router with working internet.
2. Fix Bluetooth pairing
Stay close until pairing completes. Turn on Bluetooth and allow it for Automower Connect. Android phones also need location services on.
- Check whether another phone is already connected. Most Automower models accept one connection, and NERA, Aspire R6V, 308V and 312V accept two.
- Remove the mower from your phone's Bluetooth list, then pair again from the app.
- Approve the pairing pop up quickly, since some phones show it only briefly.
- Enter the right PIN. The default is 1234 on mowers built from October 2023, and 0000 or 1111 on older models, unless you changed it.
- Uninstall and reinstall the app if nothing else works.
3. Fix WiFi models
Husqvarna lists four common causes: no network added in the app, the router lost power, no internet, or weak signal at the mower. Connect over Bluetooth, then open More, Settings, Automower Connect, WiFi to see if a network is saved. Add one if not.
The mower only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi. If your router uses a single name for all bands or is set to 5 GHz only, make sure 2.4 GHz is on. To check signal strength, open More, Settings, Automower Connect, enter your PIN and look under WiFi. If it is weak, move the router closer to the lawn or a window facing it, or add an outdoor rated 2.4 GHz extender or mesh unit.
4. Fix cellular models
Cellular Automower models use a special network for connected devices, not the LTE or 5G network your phone uses. Husqvarna says strong phone reception does not prove the mower will connect, but no phone signal at all almost certainly means the mower will not connect either. Coverage is weakest in remote rural areas and where operators are switching networks.
A Husqvarna dealer can test a mower at your address. On some WiFi models a dealer can fit an Automower Connect kit to add a mobile connection.
5. When to contact support
If the mower still will not connect after restarts, a fresh pairing, the right PIN and a working network, contact your local Husqvarna dealer. A failing Connect module is a dealer repair, not a DIY part. These fixes come from Husqvarna's support pages; we do not test mowers hands on. The mower still mows on its schedule without the app, so an app fault alone is rarely a reason to replace it.

Questions people ask
What is the default PIN for a Husqvarna Automower?
Husqvarna says 1234 for mowers made from October 2023, and 0000 or 1111 for older models, unless you changed it at first start.
Does Automower Connect work on 5 GHz WiFi?
No. Automower WiFi models only support 2.4 GHz networks.
Why does my Automower show offline when I have phone signal?
Cellular models use a separate network for connected devices, so phone bars do not prove coverage. A dealer can test it at your address.
How close do I need to be to pair over Bluetooth?
Within 5 m (16 ft) until pairing is done.
Can two phones control one Automower?
Most models allow one Bluetooth connection at a time. NERA, Aspire R6V, 308V and 312V allow two.
