NEURA's new robot AI adds touch, sound and memory ahead of an 11 minute laundry demo

The German company says its Neuron model lets the 4NE1 humanoid sort laundry, load a washer and move clothes to a dryer without help. The live test is set for NVIDIA GTC Berlin.

11 minutes: planned 4NE1 laundry run
What it means for you

This is a lab and trade show demo, not a product you can buy. NEURA has not announced a home version, a price or a release date, and it has not published success rates. For a laundry robot you can actually order today, see our humanoid tracker.

NEURA Robotics announced Neuron AI on October 14, 2026. It is a foundation model for robots that combines 3D vision with touch and force sensing, audio, the robot's own body position and language. NEURA calls the design a Perception Language Action model.

The company says Neuron also keeps a memory of earlier events and of objects that have moved out of the camera's view. That matters in a home, where a robot needs to remember where it put the laundry basket after turning around.

NEURA plans to show the model running on its 4NE1 humanoid at NVIDIA GTC Berlin, October 20 to 22. The planned demo has the robot sort laundry, load a washing machine, close and reopen it, unload the clothes and move them to a dryer, all without a person stepping in.

The demo is planned to take eleven minutes. That covers handling and coordination only, not a full wash and dry cycle.

According to NEURA's product page, the model runs on five robots, including the 4NE1 Gen 3 and Gen 4 and a wheeled 4NE1, and runs on the robot itself without a cloud connection.

NEURA trains the model on real robot data, simulated variations and human demonstrations recorded with sensor suits. Industrial partners include Schaeffler and Bosch. The company raised a Series C of up to $1.4 billion in June 2026, led by Tether.

All capability claims come from NEURA. Humanoids Daily noted the company has not published repeated run success rates or how often a person had to intervene.

Laundry is becoming the test every home robot maker wants to pass. Dyna Robotics showed an hour long autonomous laundry run at the end of September, and 1X sells NEO with laundry folding as a headline task.
