Agility says the pack gives 90 minutes of work per 9 minute charge, a 10 to 1 ratio. Chemistry, capacity and weight were not disclosed.

What it means for you

This is a warehouse robot, so it changes nothing for home buyers yet. Runtime and charge time are real limits for home humanoids too, and fast charging packs that prove themselves in industry could reach home robots later. For now, compare runtime claims on our tracker and treat them as maker figures.

Agility Robotics announced on October 15, 2026 that Nyobolt, a battery company from Cambridge, UK, will supply the battery system for its Digit 5 humanoid.

Agility says the new pack runs Digit 5 for 90 minutes and recharges in nine, a run to charge ratio of 10 to 1. Digit 4's ratio was 2 to 1. Agility claims that adds up to more than 20 hours of work in a 24 hour day.

Humanoids Daily ran the math as an idealized schedule: about 91% availability at 10 to 1 versus about 67% at 2 to 1, or roughly 21.8 versus 16 hours a day. Real work time would be lower once travel to the charger, maintenance and human interventions are counted.

Nyobolt says it gets fast charging from its own anode materials, cell design and power electronics. The companies did not disclose chemistry, pack capacity, pack weight, charging power or cycle life test results. Nyobolt raised $60 million at a $1 billion valuation in May 2026, The Robot Report says.

Early access to Digit 5 with the new battery is expected in the first half of 2027, with wider availability over the following six to nine months. Agility, founded in 2015, says its robots have logged more than 65,000 real-world operations. Agility chief business officer Daniel Diez told The Robot Report that Digit's uptime is the business case for customers.

Home humanoids face the same tradeoff. On our tracker, 1X lists NEO at four hours per charge from an 842 Wh battery, and Flourish claims up to 12 hours for Flourish 1. Both figures come from the makers.
