What it means for you

Do not put down money until AiMOGA publishes a price, a deposit policy and a US ship date. Mobo is pitched as a companion and tutor, not a chore robot, so compare it with what it can actually do in a home, not with laundry folding humanoids.

AiMOGA Robotics, the robotics brand of Chinese carmaker Chery, says it will hold the global showcase for Mobo, its first consumer humanoid, at the 2026 Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China. Global preorders open at the same event.

The company's releases give slightly different dates. One lists the summit as October 19 to 23, others list October 18 to 24, and a separate AiMOGA release says Mobo will be unveiled on October 21.

AiMOGA describes Mobo as a home companion. It runs the company's MoAgent AI system, which AiMOGA says can break a complex spoken request into steps and plan longer tasks instead of answering one command at a time.

Mobo has a full body motion system with 22 degrees of freedom, used for gestures, stable movement and dance routines, according to the company. AiMOGA says it uses voice, vision and conversation context to recognize objects, avoids obstacles while moving around a home, and learns the habits of each family member, with privacy protection built in.

The releases list companionship and educational support as the main home uses. They do not mention household chores such as laundry or tidying.

No price, deposit, shipping date or list of countries has been published. The releases only say preorders are global.

AiMOGA already sells robots to businesses. It says it has delivered more than 3,000 units across more than 60 countries and regions, including police patrol robots, hospital guide robots and the Argos Pro quadruped. Mobo was previously shown at the World Robot Conference and the World Manufacturing Convention.

We will add Mobo to our home humanoid tracker once a price and order page are public.
