Aiper Scuba V3 Ultra
Cordless AI camera robot for floor, walls, waterline and surface
Researched by Riley Hart · updated Nov 3, 2026
Is the Aiper Scuba V3 Ultra worth it? The V3 Ultra is Aiper's top cordless robot, and its camera based AI Patrol really does hunt down visible debris. It costs $2,000 as of Nov 4, 2026, and The Gadgeteer scored it 8.4/10.
The V3 Ultra is Aiper's top cordless robot, and its camera based AI Patrol really does hunt down visible debris. The two hands-on tests split: The Gadgeteer called it the smartest pool robot it has tested, while PCWorld hit app crashes, task failures and weak skimming. Buy it if you want one robot for floor, walls and surface and can live with early software; skip it if you only need floor and wall cleaning, where cheaper robots do nearly as well.
Best for: leafy in-ground pools. Skip if: you want proven, bug free software.

- Supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi
Cons
- App crashes and task failures in PCWorld's test
- Skimming picked up under half the test leaves for PCWorld
- About 29 lb to lift
- Shallow ledge cleaning was inconsistent
- Mesh filter is hard to clean
What independent reviewers found
- Comprehensive mode averaged just under 3.5 h and often ended with a task failed error. Synthetic debris coverage averaged 98%. Skimming mode picked up less than half the test leaves in its 3 h default cycle. The basket hatch would not fully close and the app froze after aborted tasks. Called it a rocky work in progress and suggested the Scuba S1 Pro instead.
- PCWorld
- Auto mode ran 159 min, enough for a full cycle. AI Patrol steered toward debris piles but sometimes needed several passes. Wall and waterline cleaning were good, skimming was strong but loud, and shallow ledge detection struggled in cloudy water. Called it the smartest pool robot the reviewer has tested.
- The Gadgeteer · 8.4/10
