Aiper Seagull SE
Budget cordless floor cleaner for small flat bottom pools
Researched by Riley Hart · updated Nov 3, 2026
Is the Aiper Seagull SE worth it? A cheap, light helper for small flat bottom pools that mostly collect leaves and loose debris. It costs $250 as of Nov 4, 2026, and The Pool Nerd scored it 2.3/5.
A cheap, light helper for small flat bottom pools that mostly collect leaves and loose debris. It only cleans the floor, holds little debris and needs rinsing after each run, and Aiper's US store now marks it as being phased out. Skip it if your pool has slopes, a deep end transition or dirty walls.
Best for: small flat floor pools on a budget. Skip if: your pool has slopes or you want walls cleaned.

What independent reviewers found
- Ran about 90 min per cycle and swept up about 90% of debris in a leaf filled pool, but handled large leaves worse than a Polaris, stopped near the center instead of parking at the wall, and needed daily emptying.
- PCWorld
- About a month of use in the reviewer's own pool: cleaned well and was quiet and easy to rinse, but had limited debris capacity, no cliff sensor so it dropped off the shallow shelf, no full alert, and once got wedged in a corner. Aiper supplied the sample.
- The Gadgeteer
- Tested in the reviewer's own pool and rated it 2.3 of 5, labeled Pool Nerd Disapproved, calling the results disappointing. The site prefers corded robots and earns affiliate commissions.

Questions buyers ask
Will it clean my pool walls?
No. Aiper says it cleans the floor only and will not climb walls, stairs or slopes.
Does it work in a pool with a deep end slope?
Aiper says it is for flat floor pools. The Gadgeteer found it struggled on part of a slope and fell off a shallow shelf because it has no cliff sensor.
How often do I empty it?
After every run. PCWorld and The Gadgeteer both found the small debris tray needs opening and rinsing after each cycle, and The Gadgeteer emptied it three times in one 90 min run after a windy day.
