Bittle X V2 is a strong pick for kids 10 and up, students and hobbyists who want to learn coding and robotics on a real legged robot that runs offline. Skip it if you want a hands off pet for cuddling or long play, since it walks about an hour per charge and the best experience involves some programming.
Best for: learning to code and build robots. Skip if: you want a no effort pet.

What independent reviewers found
- Tested the Bittle X V2 with arm alongside the Nybble Q; noted built in voice control and an ESP32 board, that you never have to assemble circuit boards, and that Bittle is the more durable choice, though neither is a foolproof consumer product.
- Make:
- Pre built Bittle X ran about an hour per charge; 35+ voice commands were new for this edition; setup needs software on a computer and the box has no printed instructions.

- Praised the DIY kit as a way to learn robotics and wiring, the durable interlocking parts, OpenCat programming and 35+ voice commands.

Questions buyers ask
Should I buy the kit or the pre assembled version?
The kit costs $20 less and takes about 40 to 90 minutes to build per Petoi. Pre assembled adds a remote and is ready to play.
Does it need WiFi or an account?
No. Petoi says voice commands are processed on the robot, and the app connects directly to it.
Do I need the alloy servos?
Only for the robotic arm or heavier use. Petoi says lite servos cannot support the gripper.
