A strong value for mostly hard floor homes that want a mop washing dock without paying flagship prices. Testers liked the mopping and mapping but saw it eat cables and miss hair on carpet. Skip it if your floors are cluttered or you have long haired pets on carpet.
Best for: hard floor homes on a midrange budget. Skip if: you have cluttered floors or lots of carpet hair.

What independent reviewers found
- Picked up 92.5% of cereal and 60% of hair on hardwood, but only 76.5% of cereal, 51% of flaxseed and 48% of hair on carpet. Mopping cleared soy sauce, mayonnaise and mud in two passes. It bumped furniture with some force.
- Tom's Guide
- About 60 dB on carpet and 69 dB peak when emptying. Mopping was excellent on max settings, it avoided a shoe and sock but got caught on a USB cable. Subscores: Value 5/5, Design 4/5, Performance 4.5/5, App 5/5.
- TechRadar
- Cleaned a 750 sq ft apartment in just under two hours with over 50% battery left. It swept up micro USB cables and a child's sock, and the test unit needed a fix for a loose part under the brush.

Questions buyers ask
Will it mop my rugs?
It can drop its mops at the dock for carpet, but Roborock says auto mop removal must be turned on in the app. Gizmodo saw it mop a rug before areas were set.
Does it avoid cables?
Not reliably. It has structured light but no camera, and Gizmodo and TechRadar both saw it catch cables.
Does it work with Apple Home?
Yes, through Matter. Gizmodo notes mapping and advanced settings still need the Roborock app.
