Roborock Saros Z70
Slim Roborock flagship with a folding arm that picks up small items off the floor
Researched by Riley Hart · updated Oct 23, 2026
The only well known robot vacuum here with an arm, and its mopping and obstacle avoidance tested near the top in Vacuum Wars' lab. The arm worked only about half the time for Vacuum Wars and never fully succeeded on its own for TechRadar, and carpet pickup was below average. Buy it for the novelty and the mop, not for deep carpet cleaning, and watch for deals near $1,000.
Best for: early adopters with mostly hard floors. Skip if: you have a lot of carpet.

- Folding arm can move socks and small items
- Top tier mopping with little water left behind
- 22 of 24 obstacles avoided in Vacuum Wars testing
- Slim 3.14 in body
- Good coverage per charge
Cons
- Arm is unreliable on its own
- Below average carpet and pet hair pickup
- Tiny 180 mL onboard bin
- Hair still tangles on the brush
- Price swings widely between about $1,000 and $1,700
What independent reviewers found
- Lab tests found top tier mopping with a combined score of 269 against a 171 average and 22 of 24 obstacles avoided, but only 67% sand removal from carpet and 83% pet hair pickup; the arm worked about half the time.
- Vacuum Wars · 3.17/5
- Vacuuming was excellent on carpet and lino and mopping strong at edges, but the arm had no fully successful autonomous pickup and the review unit rattled while cleaning.
- TechRadar
- Called it Roborock's best robot vacuum so far for navigation and cleaning, but the arm set socks and paper beside the bin rather than in it and does not justify the price over the Saros 10R.

Questions buyers ask
What can the arm pick up?
Roborock limits it to items under 300 g, and Vacuum Wars lists clumps, fabrics and slide style shoes as supported categories. Reviewers found it unreliable without manual control.
Is it good on carpet?
Vacuum Wars measured 67% sand removal from carpet against a 75% average, so it is weaker on carpet than other Roborock flagships.
What is a fair price?
It sold for $999.98 on Amazon in late September 2026 and was $1,699.99 on 2026-10-23, so waiting for a sale can save about $700.
