SwitchBot onero H1 price, release date and status (October 2026)

SwitchBot lists the onero H1 at $9,999 on its own store, but on October 21, 2026 the order button reads Sold Out and you cannot order or reserve one. SwitchBot has said only that it aims to sell it in 2026, and no ship date, deposit or subscription has been announced.

Short answer

The SwitchBot onero H1 is listed at $9,999 on SwitchBot's store as of October 2026, but its order button reads Sold Out and there is no way to order or reserve one. There is no deposit, no subscription plan and no ship date. At CES 2026 a SwitchBot representative told Engadget it would go on sale in 2026, likely near the end of the year, and the robot was still shown as not for sale at IFA in September 2026. Treat $9,999 as a listed target price, not a deal you can lock in today.

What the onero H1 costs

SwitchBot's own product page lists the onero H1 at $9,999 as of our October 21, 2026 check. That is the only official price SwitchBot has shown, and it is in US dollars on SwitchBot's global store.

At CES 2026 in January, a SwitchBot representative told Engadget the price would be "less than $10,000." Japan's Jetstream blog spotted the $9,999 listing in April 2026, along with a $799 listing for the onero A1 robotic arm, a separate tabletop arm that is not the same product.

There is no deposit, no financing plan and no subscription announced. A few early reports quoted other numbers, including one site that said $1,500. That figure does not match SwitchBot's listing and you should ignore it. Taxes, shipping and any setup fee are not published.

Can you order it? Release date status

No. On October 21, 2026 the product page shows $9,999 with a Sold Out button, so the robot cannot be added to a cart. Some CES coverage in January said preorders were open or would open soon, but Jetstream reported in April 2026 that preorders had not started, and ui44 found the page still marked unavailable later that month.

SwitchBot told Engadget in January that the H1 would go on sale in 2026, "likely closer to the end of the year." Gadget Review also reported a late 2026 target. At IFA Berlin on September 6, 2026, Italian site Poderak saw the robot working and noted it was still not available to buy, with no ship date or regional plan.

One more hurdle for US buyers: on July 28, 2026 the FCC added new foreign produced home robots, including humanoids and wheeled mobile robots with cameras and network links, to its Covered List. Law firm Steptoe explains that new models made outside the US now need an exemption before they can get FCC approval, while models approved earlier are not affected. SwitchBot has not said how this affects the H1. If you see a US ship date announced, also look for an FCC approval.

What SwitchBot says it can do

These are maker claims and demo results, not independent reviews. SwitchBot calls the H1 its first general purpose humanoid household robot. It rolls on a wheeled base, has a head with a face screen, and two arms with hands.

SwitchBot says its on device OmniSense VLA model lets the robot recognize objects, their position and their state, and learn new skills over time. SwitchBot's examples include loading laundry, folding clothes, washing dishes, making breakfast, cleaning windows and serving drinks. It is meant to work with SwitchBot's robot vacuums and smart home devices, which handle the floor while the H1 works "above."

  • 22 degrees of freedom (maker spec)
  • Wheeled base, so no stairs; best for single floor homes
  • Multiple Intel RealSense depth cameras in head, arms, hands and midsection
  • Claw gripper or five finger hand, per Engadget
  • Height not officially published; Kaden Watch reported about 160 cm (5 ft 3 in)
  • Battery life, weight, payload, speed and noise not published

What it really did in demos

The live demo at CES 2026 was narrow. Engadget's Karissa Bell watched the robot pick a piece of clothing off a couch and put it in a washer a few feet away. It took nearly two minutes for one item. She was not sure if conference Wi-Fi, the demo setup or the robot itself caused the slow pace, and noted that speed matters less if the robot works while you are out.

Gadget Review reported the same pace of about two minutes per garment. Folding, dishwashing, window cleaning and breakfast appeared in SwitchBot's promotional video, not in the live demo Engadget saw. The CES unit also had a claw style hand, while the video showed a five finger hand. Poderak saw the same laundry routine at IFA in September and wrote that the technology is still far from human speed, precision and versatility.

No outlet has reviewed a production unit in a real home as of October 2026, because none have shipped. We have not seen or tried one.

Teleoperation, privacy and safety

SwitchBot has not said whether the H1 will use remote human operators to help with chores, the way 1X does with NEO. No outlet reported teleoperation in the CES demos, but SwitchBot has also not ruled it out. Ask before you buy.

SwitchBot describes the AI model as on device, which suggests camera data is processed on the robot rather than in the cloud. SwitchBot has not published a privacy policy specific to the H1, data retention rules, or whether cameras can be viewed remotely in the app. With cameras in its head, hands and body, that matters.

Safety details are also not published: no stop button spec, force limits, child or pet detection, or safety certification. A wheeled base is less likely to fall than legs, but it still weighs an unknown amount and moves on its own.

Should you wait for it?

If you already use SwitchBot gear and want a laundry helper, the H1 is worth watching. It comes from an established smart home brand, has a price listed in public, and is lower priced than 1X NEO at $20,000.

Do not plan around it yet. You cannot order it, there is no ship date, key specs are missing, and the only live task shown was slow. Wait for a real ship date, a full spec sheet, a privacy policy and hands on reviews of shipped units. If laundry is your main goal, see our guide to robots that fold laundry for other options.
