Quick verdict · checked Nov 2, 2026

The Kobra X puts a 4 color changer inside the toolhead, so swaps are fast and there is no box beside the printer. Tom's Hardware gave it an Editor's Choice and found a four color print finished about 10 hours sooner than on a Bambu Lab A1. It is still an open bed slinger with real purge waste, so it suits PLA, PETG and TPU.

Best for: beginners who want cheap, fast 4 color PLA prints. Skip if: you need an enclosed printer for ABS or ASA parts.
