Researched by Riley Hart · updated Nov 3, 2026
Is the Elegoo Neptune 4 Max worth it? The Neptune 4 Max is one of the cheapest ways to get a 420 x 420 x 480 mm build volume. It costs $394 as of Nov 3, 2026, and 3DWithUs scored it 4.5 out of 5.
The Neptune 4 Max is one of the cheapest ways to get a 420 x 420 x 480 mm build volume. Tom's Hardware found it twice as fast as the Neptune 3 Max but buggy, and 3DWithUs liked it for large and batch prints. It suits patient users who want size over speed.
Best for: budget makers who need very large PLA, PETG or TPU prints. Skip if: you want a plug and play or enclosed printer.
