Quick verdict · checked Nov 3, 2026

The CORE One+ INDX is the pick for people who print a lot in several colors and hate purge waste, since it swaps whole toolheads instead of filament. Both TechRadar and Tom's Hardware rank it among the best printers they have tested. Skip it if you mainly print one color, need TPU, or want a big bed for the money.

Best for: frequent multi color and multi material printing. Skip if: you print one color or need a large bed.

Specs

Enclosure
Yes, steel frame with translucent door and side panels; chamber held up to 55 C, warmed by the bed, no separate chamber heater (Tom's Hardware)
Filament types
Tom's Hardware printed PLA, PETG and ASA or ABS; no Flex or TPU profile at launch. Stock nozzles are not hardened, rated for about 10 kg of PETG-CF or 5 kg of PC-CF (TechRadar)
Connectivity
Runs fully offline if you want (TechRadar, Tom's Hardware)
Noise
Very quiet in Tom's Hardware testing; no dB figure published
Assembly
Sold assembled or as a DIY kit; conversion kits for older CORE One printers

Running cost is mostly filament. Abrasive filaments wear the stock nozzles fast (TechRadar), so plan on spare nozzles if you print carbon fiber blends.

What independent reviewers found

Gave it Editor's Choice. In a head to head with the Bambu Lab H2C, the INDX produced 27 models while the H2C produced 15. Scored 27/30 on its print test suite with 0.208 mm average X and Y error. Downsides: slow recalibration and soft nozzles.
TechRadar · 5/5
Editor's Choice. A PLA dragon took 25 h 41 min with 1,646 tool changes and 18 g of waste; a PETG planter took 6 h 14 min with 6.84 g of waste. It made 83.58 g less waste than the Bambu Lab H2C on the same job. TPU prints oozed and jammed.

Questions buyers ask

Can I upgrade my existing CORE One+ to INDX?

Yes. All3DP lists a CORE One+ conversion kit at $999 for 8 tools or $749 for 4 tools. Gen 1 CORE One kits cost a bit more.

How much filament does it waste on color changes?

Very little. Tom's Hardware measured about 13 mg per tool change and 18 g over a 1,646 change print.

Can it print TPU?

Not well yet. Tom's Hardware found no Flex profile at launch and saw oozing and jams with TPU.
