Beatbot AquaSense X
Cordless flagship with a dock that rinses its filter for you
Researched by Riley Hart · updated Oct 30, 2026
Is the Beatbot AquaSense X worth it? The most hands off pool robot you can buy: it cleans every surface and its station rinses the filter, so you rarely touch debris. It costs $3,799 as of Nov 4, 2026, and Bob Vila scored it 4.6/5.
The most hands off pool robot you can buy: it cleans every surface and its station rinses the filter, so you rarely touch debris. Three testers found the cleaning excellent, but the price is close to $4,000, the robot weighs about 29 lb, and the station needs its own outlet and hose. Most owners would get most of the cleaning from a cheaper Beatbot like the Sora 70.
Best for: owners who never want to clean a filter. Skip if: you are on a budget or short on deck space.

What independent reviewers found
- Editors' Choice. A 193 min floor and wall session used 76% of the battery; the station ran six plus cycles with no filter handling and the bag about a quarter full; waterline scum was essentially gone after three cycles. Stair cleaning graded B.
- Digital Trends
- Tested for nearly two months in two 30 x 12 ft Florida pools. Floor, wall and waterline cleaning were consistently excellent, but the robot is very heavy and the dock is large and needs a hose. Says many buyers could get 85 to 90% of the performance from a Sora 70.
- Bob Vila · 4.6/5
- Strong cleaning and an intuitive app, but the reviewer called it hard to recommend at its price; surface cleaning was weaker than Beatbot's skimmers and the heavy robot was a chore to carry. Recommends the Sora 70 instead.
