The X315 brings the fast X3 platform to half acre lawns, and two independent testers found its navigation and obstacle detection reliable. Without the add on trimmer it leaves an uncut strip along edges, and Notebookcheck's unit could not reliably climb its rated 50% slope. Skip it for very small lawns, where cheaper i series mowers do the job.
Best for: mid size lawns with open sky. Skip if: you need clean edges without an add on trimmer.

- Stable RTK and straight passes on two test areas. Detected a hedgehog dummy and a hose but missed a small tennis ball once in three tries. Ran about 2 hours per charge, recharged in about 1 hour, measured about 55 dB. Left at least 10 cm uncut at edges and did not reliably climb a 50% ramp. Verdict: almost perfect.
