Wybot S2
Large pool cordless robot with 210 min rated runtime
Researched by Riley Hart · updated Oct 30, 2026
Is the Wybot S2 worth it? A strong cleaner for big pools that PCWorld rated as effective as far pricier robots, missing just 1 of 100 test leaves. It costs $760 as of Nov 4, 2026, and 3 independent reviewers tested it.
A strong cleaner for big pools that PCWorld rated as effective as far pricier robots, missing just 1 of 100 test leaves. Navigation looks random and the app is rough, and the store page now claims a longer runtime than reviewers measured. Pick it for a large pool on a mid range budget; skip it if you want tidy, predictable cleaning paths.
Best for: large pools on a mid range budget. Skip if: you want a polished app.

Pros
- Rated for pools up to 3,229 sq ft
- Left 1 of 100 test leaves in PCWorld testing
- Fairly light at about 19 lb
- Treads crossed a main drain without sticking
Cons
- Random looking navigation with long pauses
- Cleaning history broken in PCWorld testing
- Runtime claims vary between sources
- Fine grit needs the optional second filter
What independent reviewers found
- Picked up 99 of 100 synthetic leaves and captured organic debris and grit well with the secondary filter fitted. Ran about 2 h 45 min against a 3.5 h claim, moved in a haphazard pattern, and the app's cleaning history was unavailable throughout testing.
- PCWorld
- Tested the S2 Pro bundle with a self charging dock. Ran about 3.5 h, left the pool visibly cleaner, agitated the surface even at the 9 ft deep end, and its treads did not stick on the main drain. The dock bracket mounts permanently with adhesive.
- The Gadgeteer
- Tested the S2 Pro without its dock. Said it cleared debris well, including after a hurricane, and left clear water, but charging after every session is inconvenient without the dock. No measured figures.

Questions buyers ask
Does it come with a charging dock?
The S2 sold alone on Wybot's US store parks near the wall for pickup with a hook. Reviewers who tested the S2 Pro bundle got an inductive dock it returns to on its own.
How long does it really run?
Wybot now lists up to 210 minutes. PCWorld measured about 2 h 45 min, and The Gadgeteer about 3.5 h.
Does it catch fine dirt?
PCWorld found it did only with the secondary foam filter installed, which is not fitted by default.
