A capable midprice cordless cleaner whose camera steers it toward debris instead of wandering, and Bob Vila found it excellent on algae and fine dirt. It does not skim, it is rated for smaller pools than most here, and Aiper has had two battery fire recalls on older models. Charge it on a hard surface away from the house and follow the charging instructions.

A simple corded Dolphin that adds app control and a weekly timer for in-ground pools up to 40 ft. It cleans floors and walls but not the waterline, and Maytronics now covers it for only one year. If fine debris or waterline grime is your main problem, step up to a higher Dolphin.

What reviewers found
Aiper Scuba V3
- Bob Vila (4.5/5): About a month in a Florida pool: it identified debris and drove to it, pickup of algae and fine debris was excellent, and retrieval was easy; no surface skimming and premium price when not on sale. Source
- The Smart Home Hookup: Passed the 8 inch sun shelf test and praised debris detection, but even with the secondary filter it struggled with sending fine silt into the water column. Source
Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi
- The Pool Nerd: Rated Pool Nerd Disapproved: Dolphin cut the Nautilus warranty to one year, newer units ship with standard mesh filters instead of NanoFilters, and it climbs walls but does not scrub the waterline. Source
- Poolbots (retailer review): Headlined great cleaning performance but missing essential features: no waterline cleaning, Gen 1 filter cartridges and no NanoFilters. Source
