Quick verdict · checked Oct 14, 2026

A capable midprice cordless cleaner whose camera steers it toward debris instead of wandering, and Bob Vila found it excellent on algae and fine dirt. It does not skim, it is rated for smaller pools than most here, and Aiper has had two battery fire recalls on older models. Charge it on a hard surface away from the house and follow the charging instructions.

Best for: midsize in-ground pools with fine debris. Skip if: your pool is over 1,600 sq ft.

What independent reviewers found
About a month in a Florida pool: it identified debris and drove to it, pickup of algae and fine debris was excellent, and retrieval was easy; no surface skimming and premium price when not on sale.
Bob Vila · 4.5/5
Passed the 8 inch sun shelf test and praised debris detection, but even with the secondary filter it struggled with sending fine silt into the water column.
