Roborock Saros 20
Ultra slim Roborock flagship with top suction and threshold climbing
Researched by Riley Hart · updated Oct 16, 2026
It was $420 cheaper ($1,180) during Prime Big Deal Days 2026 at Amazon. Black Friday is Nov 27, 2026, 31 days away, and big sales usually return then. Get a price drop alert or see every tracked deal.
A strong pick for mixed carpet and hard floor homes with low furniture and tall door thresholds, since it is under 3.2 in tall and climbs higher steps than any robot Vacuum Wars has tested. Reviewers rate its suction and edge cleaning highly but split on mopping, and Tom's Guide found the pads streaky. If spotless mopping is your main goal, a roller mop model may suit you better.
Best for: low furniture and tall thresholds. Skip if: mopping is your top priority.

- Record threshold climbing in Vacuum Wars testing
- Strong suction and carpet pickup
- Excellent edge cleaning with extending arm and pad

Cons
- Expensive at $1,599.99
- Mopping left streaks in Tom's Guide testing
- Small 260 mL onboard bin
- Still catches cables and gets stuck at times
What independent reviewers found
- Lab tests found 89% sand removal from carpet, 88% flattened pet hair pickup, 0% hair wrap, 17 of 24 obstacles avoided, a record 57 mm threshold climb and an above average combined mopping score; battery coverage was slightly below average at about 1,038 sq ft per charge.
- Vacuum Wars · 3.81/5
- Performed strongly on pet hair, sand and fine dust on carpet and hard floors and fit under low furniture; reviewer flagged middling battery life, a small bin and trouble with loose cables.
- CGMagazine · 8.5/10
- Picked up 100% of cereal and kitty litter on carpet and 70% of pet hair on carpet, but mopping left floors streaky and patchy and the pads fell off once crossing a cable.
- Tom's Guide
- Editor's Choice; best edge and corner cleaning the reviewer had tested and a 38 minute whole home clean, though the gain over earlier Saros models is slight.

Roborock lists the robot at 3.14 in tall with no LiDAR turret, so it clears furniture with about 3.2 in or more of space.
Can it get over door thresholds?
Roborock claims up to 3.46 in for double layer thresholds. Vacuum Wars cleared a 57 mm single step, but BGR saw it need two or three tries on small thresholds.
Does the dock connect to plumbing?
BGR says there are two dock versions, one with manual water tanks and one with built in refill and drainage. Check which one you are buying.
