Yarbo Yarbo Y40 Core with Snow Blower Gen 2
Tracked robot that blows snow on a schedule, then mows in summer
Researched by Riley Hart · updated Oct 15, 2026
SCORED
The lower priced way into Yarbo's Gen 2 snow blower, and the closest match to the Core that reviewers and owners have used through real storms. It suits owners of long, mostly flat paved or gravel driveways who will spend a weekend on setup and can live with occasional support tickets. Skip it if you want an appliance that works out of the box or your driveway is steep and gets heavy wet snow.
Best for: Long, open driveways in snowy regions where the owner wants year round yard work from one robot. Skip if: You need it working this week, have a steep or tight driveway, or are uneasy about a cloud connected robot with recent security flaws.

What independent reviewers found
- Earlier Yarbo model. Tested the earlier Yarbo Core with snow blower over a few days. Found it threw snow and ice roughly 7 to 8 meters, needed studded tracks to avoid sliding on ice, paused for nearby people, and once needed help returning to its pad. Only 700 to 800 square meters were tested and long term reliability was not judged. Awarded Editors' Choice; only con listed was price.
- PCWorld (Mikael Lindkvist)
- Earlier Yarbo model. After 9 months of ownership the author opened 32 support tickets, reported a power board failure on one Core and a GPS antenna failure on a second, and said most failures were GPS loss or positioning. Support turnaround was 3 to 7 days. He called it excellent when it works.
- Pocketables (Paul E King, owner)
- Earlier Yarbo model. Owner ran it overnight in a January 2026 storm and woke to a cleared 6,000 sq ft driveway. He estimated about 30 hours of assembly, programming and mapping, and had to reprogram it twice because it threw snow the wrong way.
- USA TODAY via Yahoo Tech (owner Tom Moloughney)
- Earlier Yarbo model. In a February 2026 Nor'easter the same owner's unit cleared a long driveway and walkway, recharging about 90 minutes between runs. Wet, heavy snow bunched up in front of it on his steep incline and sent it back to charge more often.
- Business Insider via Yahoo Tech
- Earlier Yarbo model. Hands-on test of the earlier S1 module found it struggled with wet, heavy snow, needed frequent auger cleaning, and could not dock after snow blocked the charging pad.
- Freshly Charged

Questions buyers ask
When will the Y40 snow bundle ship?
Yarbo lists it as a preorder and says the Snow Blower Module ships in October 2026, with other items in 3 to 8 business days.
Can I add the snow blower to a Yarbo I already own?
Yarbo sells the Snow Blower Module Gen 2 on its own for $2,200 as a preorder. Yarbo says Core modules do not fit the smaller M Series.
How much snow can it handle per charge?
Yarbo claims up to 6,000 sq ft in 1 in of snow and up to 12 in of depth. One owner on Yarbo's module page said 6 in felt like its limit, so running it during the storm works best.
