Quick verdict · checked Nov 2, 2026

The H2C is Bambu Lab's multi material flagship. Its Vortek rack swaps hotends instead of flushing one nozzle, so Tom's Hardware saw a five color print finish in about half the time of an H2D with far less waste. It costs $400 more than the H2D and is still slower than a true tool changer.

Best for: makers who print a lot of multi color or multi material parts. Skip if: you mostly print one color or one material.

Questions buyers ask

What is Vortek on the H2C?

A rack of six induction heated hotends the printer swaps automatically, so each color or material can have its own nozzle and less filament is purged.

Is the H2C a tool changer?

Not fully. Tom's Hardware found it about twice as fast as Bambu AMS printers on multi color prints, but a Prusa XL tool changer was faster still.

Can I buy the H2C on Amazon?

No. Bambu Lab sells through its own store and some retailers such as Best Buy, not Amazon.
