Bambu Lab H2S
Big single nozzle enclosed printer for large and engineering prints
Researched by Riley Hart · updated Oct 30, 2026
Is the Bambu Lab H2S worth it? The H2S gives you the big heated chamber of Bambu Lab's H2 line with one nozzle, so you get large builds without dual nozzle dead zones. It costs $1,049 as of Nov 4, 2026, and CGMagazine scored it 8/10.
The H2S gives you the big heated chamber of Bambu Lab's H2 line with one nozzle, so you get large builds without dual nozzle dead zones. It suits makers printing big parts, batches and engineering filaments like ABS, ASA and nylon. Skip it if you do a lot of multi color or soluble support work, since single nozzle color swaps waste filament and run slower than on the H2D.
Best for: large prints and engineering filaments. Skip if: you print lots of multi color models.
Specs

- Auto leveling
- Yes, automatic calibration; first run calibration took about 30 minutes for The Gadgeteer

- Heated bed
- Yes, up to 120 C (CGMagazine, The Gadgeteer)
- Filament types
- PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PC, PPA, PA6 GF, PAHT CF and other fiber filled engineering filaments (Bambu Lab)
3 year cost of ownership
- Robot
- $1,049
- Total
- $1,049
No subscription is needed. Running cost is mostly filament plus purge waste on multi color jobs, so a 3 year total is not computed. The laser and cutting modules and the Vision Encoder are paid extras.

Pros
- Large 340 x 320 x 340 mm build volume
- Heated chamber up to 65 C for ABS, ASA and nylon
- 350 C hotend with quick change nozzles
- Optional laser and cutting modules
- Polished guided setup and app
Cons
- Multi color jobs purge a lot of filament
- No tool changer, so soluble supports are less practical
- Heavy, about 30 kg, and needs two people to unbox
- Costs much more than a P2S
What independent reviewers found
- Called it refined and reliable. Real world print times were about 20 to 30% shorter than typical fast CoreXY profiles and aggregated XY error measured under 0.5 mm. Multi color prints ran a few hours longer than on the H2D on day long jobs, with considerable purge waste.
- CGMagazine · 8/10
- Ran the H2S AMS 2 Pro combo for about a month, often around the clock. First calibration took about 30 minutes, PETG CF prints finished well and the AMS 2 Pro was nearly error free. Downsides were purge waste on multi color jobs and the pricey optional Vision Encoder.

Questions buyers ask
How is the H2S different from the H2D?
The H2S has one nozzle instead of two. That gives it a full 340 x 320 x 340 mm build area with no dual nozzle dead zones, but multi color prints purge more filament and run slower, per CGMagazine and The Gadgeteer.
Can the H2S print ABS and nylon?
Yes. It has an enclosed chamber heated up to 65 C, a 350 C hotend and a 120 C bed, and Bambu Lab lists ABS, ASA, PC and nylon composites.
Does it work with a laser?
Yes, with the optional 10 W laser module. Creative Bloq notes it does not support the 40 W laser.
